Is this an everyday workout, or like every other day? I think I could rotate this with an outdoors walk or something.

I'm not looking to get fit or anything (will be joining a gym in whatever area my fiancee and I move to in a few months), but my job is a very active one, so I'm always moving and whatnot. But since I'm now basically going to be living at home, I need some way to just move a bit.

It can be what you want it to be--once a week, three times a week, or every day. It doesn't hit any muscle group hard enough to require specific rest.

So wait you are or aren't trying to get into shape? What's your hight and weight?

Switching to exclusively walking with a pushcart instead of riding while golfing. Played 3 rounds last weekend in 3 days which added up to over 20 total miles.

Good to know! I don't have really much that would help a home gym. Fiancee got a set of a pair of 1/3/5lb weights, but what you posted can be easily done without it, or a huge change of space and whatnot.

Once we move, I think we're going to try to get a personal trainer, but in the meantime...whatever helps, ya know?

I think I read somewhere Quinn goes to the Equinox in the flatiron. God I'd love to even go for a day but they probably have bouncers who'd smell the poverty off me asap

Rod Gilbert was a regular at my old Equinox and he was just the nicest guy. He'd chirp me and tell stories, then head to the Garden for his ambassadorship and I'd head to a bar to watch the game on TV.

There are always things you can do, wod style. You can do amraps (as many reps as possible) within a time frame or a numerical count for time. So say the rep scheme is 21-15-9. So pick some movements, say burpees, v ups, air squats and then run through the numbers. You can also do tricep dips on chair or sofa. Or heck, grab a broom and you can do overhead squats.

Thor working out at home. Yes, he and his mate are not exactly 6 feet apart.

So I did a makeshift steps exercise using an IKEA folding step stool with dumbbells in hand. Tweaked my back. I think the step may have been too high and I compressed or pinched something. Put me out 4 days. Didn't do a thing for 7 just to make certain I was fine. Just used some of Hemsworth's moves in my 50-min workout.

Got a Peloton last week. The resistance knob was chipped. The back of the screen was scratched. The back of the bike was scratched. A screw was missing. But other than that ... it’s great!

Good customer support too: they’re sending a new one once quarantine is over and refunding me the delivery / setup costs.

Cody brought him to Peloton.
Nice! Then I’ll definitely check out Cody. There’s one female trainer who is white good as well, but she covers her body in glitter for some reason, white is quite distracting.

the Ben climb rides are great. Keeping me sane chasing my 1 year old around the house all week.
This exactly. Peloton got my girlfriend and I to lower our weapons before the apartment turned into a bad day in Baghdad.

You don’t realize how important physical exercise is until you’re forced to go without it.

There is an athletic park across the street with smooth concrete basketball courts. I just re-upped my lease for another 24 months and am developing an urge to buy roller hockey gear and take advantage.

My wishlist right now is Bauer Vapor 2XR skates, CCM Tacks 4R Lite gloves, CCM Ribcor Trigger 4 sticks, and a pile of green biscuits.

How long have you owned a Peloton?

I've had mine since January. I used to be in tip top shape playing hockey into my late 40s. After tearing my ACL, I basically just walked and occasionally ran a little. My treadmill at home wasn't doing it for me anymore. I joined a gym, but then developed a wrist problem requiring surgery (that I haven't had yet) so no weights and quit the gym. I had gained about 20 pounds doing not much physically. My gf says, let's get a Peloton, so I bought one over Xmas.

I was so out of shape that on my first ride, I stopped at the 18 minute mark because my heart was going through the roof. My cardio fitness has improved a lot in three months. I was only able to sleep 2 hours last night, so I got up and burned 600 calories in a 45 minute ride this morning. It's probably not doing much for the rest of my body, but I've lost those 20 pounds ever since. I like it. It feels like a hard workout. I lay on the ground after a lot of my rides like the old fool that I am. Not a big fan of the music though. A lot of the modern music is crap, but I occasionally find some good older tunes. The Weezer class was fun.
