Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part IV

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.

Heading into this series, the Wolves need two things to win.

1) Krawchuk needs to outplay Schenkel
2) Wolves need to stay out of the box

If they can do those two things I think there's a realistic path to winning the series.

The good news for you is he won’t be Wolves’s GM forever and when the new one comes in you can criticize them as well. Hell, you might even wish Paps was back. Grass isn’t always greener on someone else’s lawn…

Add:3) Play sound D
4) Limit turnovers and put everything to the net
 
Always amazing how announcers suddenly hate video replay when the home team player is the one being reviewed. But if its in their favor, it's a great tool to make sure you get things right.

"If they didn't see it in real time, how can they go to video review" Are these clowns serious? lol

Feels like that was a pretty obvious charge? If it's not, time to give Coughlan the green light to run peoples heads through the boards. No Villeneuve for the rest of the period on a team with already no center depth is not ideal.

OHL called it that way for years sadly. The timing of dropping the gloves is irrelevant, skating at someone to start a fight is getting you the instigator every time, as silly as that is.

Definitely agree on these announcers being absolute clowns.

Keep sucking up to him, I guess you are quite comfortable with his track record, especially last year.

We have no offence with Musty, Delic and Villy for most of the first. Pharand I’m sorry that has to be a goal. yikes!!!

Oh and I guess the refs saw no charge on the play. Roberts surely isn’t faking. Hasn’t been back.

He skated over to address the cheap shot because Pharand and Walton did not even look at him, Kudos to Villy for standing up for a teammate.

They got to be quicker on the forecheck. The speed in general isn’t there. And they have to stop looking for Walton all the time, just play the game. Walton can’t keep trying to deke through 3-4 guys that’s not going to work in the playoffs. Everyone needs to finish their checks. And for gods sake stop letting guys skate freely to the net!
