I think it’s a great time to mention how good Henry Mews has been playing as a Wolves’s DMan.
Coming in Mews was recognized as an offensive DMan with so-so defence.
Over the past several weeks I’ve noticed he is so much better and responsible in his Dzone. The entire Team DZone play has been a revelation and key to the Team’s recent success. Mews is most definitely rounding out his game and is becoming a Pro right in front of our eyes. In a very short period of time, I’ve seen lots of growth. Congrats to him and the coaching staff for dedicating to defence first hockey. Very enjoyable to watch, win or lose.
I have seen a big improvement in Roberts play also, team is jelling just at the right time behind the steady goaltending of the sheriff. Blonda getting the green light a little more, he seems to be picking his spots more responsible. Hopefully they can make a good impression on Barrie Sunday.

First off drunk driving is a stupidly selfish and dangerous crime to commit, and one that in my opinion needs harsher penalties. That being said he has to meet several conditions to be able to actually return, it says that in several articles including starting treatment and beginning community service . We don’t have to agree or like it but he took accountability and received his punishment.
IMO,
He should be eligible to return when he has completed his treatment and community service, not one day before!

Aye, you notice there’s frequently things happening around the net when he’s on the ice. Surprising Barney hadn’t seemed to notice. Not to mention he’s a fan favourite.
I have noticed and that’s one of the reasons I said I think he can do more. If we see it I’m sure Barney sees it. He just chooses not to play him more for whatever reason.
He's one of those players that you have to be aware when he’s on the ice. Definitely a fan favourite has his own cheering section at that barn, and I like that when he throws hits they’re clean, and for the most part he stays out of the box playing as physical as he does. Playoffs are around the corner and he’ll be the type of player that will benefit the team with his style of play. That’s if they play him

I’ve noticed this too. I’m really starting to like this kid!

Awesome win against a powerful team. Chitaroni should have been first star. Marshal with another good game. Someone must have sent a message to the wolves to 5 hole Oster.
Chitaroni has been getting better and better every game. He’s going to be a force in the league, and Marshall is just playing so confident and I love to see it. It’s going to be tough for the coaching staff when Krawchuk comes back

It would really surprise me if Calgary does not offer Mews a contract the way he is playing, if so we would get him back next season and the Flames may see this in their best interest for their third round pick over the college route.

Villy is a beast and my favourite player on the team! Kid comes to play every night! He does it all. Might take a dumb penalty sometimes, but he’s gotten better at that these last couple of weeks
I’ve noticed that he has been punishing players on the boards in hope they are dumb enough to drop the gloves and challenge him. Since he’s maxed out on fights he needs to be instigated upon. So far no takers, players take the beating and skate away…

I’d like to know the rational behind this 15 game suspension. Another example how the sport of hockey can blur ethics, decision making and accountability. Any other person in the same circumstance outside the hockey world would not be given the same consideration. When everyone says we need to change Hockey Culture due to superior status of players this decision by the league reeks privilege and favouritism.
Sadly unfortunate.

Outside of more consistent play Wolves should really be working to clamp down on penalties down the stretch heading into the playoffs. 3 of the top 9 penalty minute players in the OHL are on the Wolves, that won't end well in the playoffs.

Really looking forward to watching Henderson next year, in his NHL draft year. I really think he's going to be a huge surprise for folks outside of Sudbury at this point. One of the players on the wolves who is fun to watch every single game.

Great period, bad penalty at the end the first period by Molnar. We never make it easy.

Roberts best period as a Wolf for me, playing steady not over committing.

Great week for the Wolves, discipline play is the major factor. Didn't expect a 3 vs 3 against some good teams, hats off to the team.

Great game for the wolves...not quite sure what to think about the refs. Clinched a play off spot now..

One person in section 13 was taken out in handcuffs. Took the police quite a bit to get him to voluntarily leave. Was hoping to see him ride the lightning but alas he finally cooperated.

Could not agree more with this!! I've been watching him specifically over the last week or two and I've seen steady improvement with him, really happy with what the coaching staff has been able to do with him.
