And maybe you're just disappointed because you were very quick to shoot down the idea when I suggested it.
So much negativity is so sad.......
But it's certainly come to be expected.
I understand the disappointment over the years but it would be interesting to go over his posting history and find even one positive post ;)

I also said on these pages that I think Street can do more than they’re letting him. And they’ve been letting him lately, and he's had a few points last couple of weeks.
Aye, you notice there’s frequently things happening around the net when he’s on the ice. Surprising Barney hadn’t seemed to notice. Not to mention he’s a fan favourite.

If a prominent Sudbury Wolf was charged with DUI and fleeing the scene, I know I wouldn’t be very keen about cheering for that player the next time they stepped on the ice. Playing hockey in the ohl should be a privilege only to those who don’t break serious laws.
Certainly would get him kicked off the high school football team, but hey it’s London.

From the OHL, not sure I can agree with the Foligno's on the first team over Sgarbossa and Byfield, and I say this with Marcus Foligno being one of my favorite all time wolves. Nice to see Semenov get a mention as well, he'd be on my first team over McQuaid, both of them were very fun to watch.

The OHL had an opportunity to make a social conscious statement about the dangers of Impaired Driving. They failed and in doing so lost a ton of credibility and respect with community partners.
This is a player who has had a privileged career up to now. Membership of Hockey Canada, ROY in OHL and NHL Drafted. What does the OHL owe this player? Allen seriously disregarded a federal law(s), broke Code of Conduct and Drug and Alcohol Policy, put the community at risk and tarnished the reputation of the league. I understand the player has taken responsibility early to start the process of recovery (this was the right decision). However, having him come back and play one more shift is absolutely WRONG. Most mistakes can be forgiven and I hope he learns from his poor choices, but Impaired Driving can’t be overlooked and the penalty needs to be appropriate to the expectations of normal citizens in everyday society. This kid got a kiss and it sends the wrong message. Where is the deterrence? Heaven forbid if this happens again with tragic results the league will be heavily scrutinized.

Well said. I'd also argue, drinking and driving is not a mistake, it's an active choice.

Agreed. I’ll go further: It’s a Criminal act. You now have a convicted criminal being re-instated without any proof of rehabilitation.
First off drunk driving is a stupidly selfish and dangerous crime to commit, and one that in my opinion needs harsher penalties. That being said he has to meet several conditions to be able to actually return, it says that in several articles including starting treatment and beginning community service . We don’t have to agree or like it but he took accountability and received his punishment.

Respectfully, besides his 2yr Probation Order and Driving Suspension issued by the courts, he has done very little than sign up for his community service and his substance abuse classes…

I am a London Knights fan, have been since the Dennis Maruk days. First and foremost, I am a hockey fan first. If this was near the start of the season, it would have been 25 games suspension, without a doubt. What I want to address here is a fact London have had three players in trouble with the law in the last six years, at the criminal level, this I don't like it one bit. The Hunters are masters at finding and developing players, I would hate to have them be masters at finding criminals playing for them. They need to better educate their young developers before they have them lace their skates for the Knights and this league.

.... Ya, not exactly 'gentlemen' nor.... 'of character'. This is not a error in judgement that can be set aside. The reality is it could easily had serious consequences... including the death of the player and potentially innocent victims. Because that was not the case... it is 'less punishable'? I am having a much harder time accepting how DUI cases are managed, and the fact that if you have the finances to hire a 'better' lawyer... your outcome is better. That's not a hockey decision but hockey needs to dish out the more appropriate consequence. It seems the current consequences are not an effective deterrent.

I mean, Dale Hunter's character speaks for itself. Luckily for him he got out of his DUI on a technicality because of an officer not doing his job properly.

Great play by Musty on the second wolves goal, a couple big shot blocks defensively and then gets behind the D and scores a pretty goal.

Randy is SO horrible.
He has his defenders in this thread. I think someone needs to help him it's not him and Gary's stand up comedy special.

With that said, huge win tonight, another great outing for Marshall. Another great two-way game for Musty as well. Still a lot problems, dumb penalties, bad defensive player by a few of the defenders, but regardless, a win in the right direction.

I think it’s a great time to mention how good Henry Mews has been playing as a Wolves’s DMan.
Coming in Mews was recognized as an offensive DMan with so-so defence.
Over the past several weeks I’ve noticed he is so much better and responsible in his Dzone. The entire Team DZone play has been a revelation and key to the Team’s recent success. Mews is most definitely rounding out his game and is becoming a Pro right in front of our eyes. In a very short period of time, I’ve seen lots of growth. Congrats to him and the coaching staff for dedicating to defence first hockey. Very enjoyable to watch, win or lose.
