Well Well, credit to Musty in coming back, he made the right move. Chances he will get moved at trade deadline.
Musty is almost certainly back for the following reasons. The Sharks told his agent that he better smarten up, and so he can play at the World Jr's. Hopefully he is here to work and be a team player, as this is the new culture of the team and he can definitely be a massive asset with the right attitude. He put the team in a terrible position by doing this publicly, it didn't work out the way he planned, so now he's back. I don't give props to Papineau much, but he deserves it here for sticking to his guns and hopefully we can get a huge haul closer to the deadline. Musty deserves no credit.

I don't know what to make of all this. In fact more importantly what do the players think of it. Its not like Musty was sitting out for a new contract where he wants millions like professional players.

I think he would have had to speak to the players. It's one thing for the organization to welcome him back, another for the players to. Lest we forget when Muzzin flipped the puck at tkachuk and none of his teammates went to his defence.

Not sure why he has been out the last couples games, but there is basically no chance he would be coming back to Sudbury as an overage player. Could be wrong, but I can't think of too many times a player has been sent from AHL back to junior outside of Kip Brennan, but that was 25 years ago. 😂 What a team that was, by the way. Still hold a grudge against Peter Budaj!
Vancouver did it with Josh Bloom last season and he ending up scoring the GWG in the Memorial Cup final. Granted Goyette is a far more talented player but it has and does happen somewhat regularly. There was another big name come back like that a couple years ago.

Which makes not honoring his request even more of a dick move. If all the parties involved know that Musty is being traded at some point, why can't they move him now? Is the GM so bad at his job that he can't get some quality 07's plus picks? Musty's whole point is that he just wants to move onto the final phase of his junior career without having this lame duck session for 2 months. It's really not that outlandish of a request.

Can't get them if the other teams are saying no right now. Takes two to tango.

It's a reciprocal agreement for Musty and the Wolves. If he
plays well he will drive up his stock with teams, including team USA. The Wolves will benefit from a motivated Musty short term at the very least.Long term they can benefit from a much better return.I just wonder if he is not the only high scoring Wolf from last year to return to the den.

if you read Wolves statement it explains it well they did not rule out a trade but it would have to benefit the team not the player.

It was a good move by Musty to come back and play hockey for a great coaching staff, it will benefit him. I believe they will trade him at trade deadline where the team will maximize from this asset.

You sound like a butt hurt generation of entitlement, where is the loyalty to your team and organization? any player with character will have his team back, before self interest.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'd love to see Musty finish out the season as a Wolf. It would give him an opportunity to prove us wrong, and there’s no denying the Wolves are stronger with him in the lineup.

Musty was sitting out for personal reasons. He will probably address it in the dressing room, but more importantly, he will address it on the ice, and that is what you guys want and need.

His agent probably told him that if he wants to keep everyone happy, he will come back here for a few weeks, impress USA Hockey, go to the WJC, and get traded at the deadline. Basically, it is the same scenario as if he was injured out of NHL camp..

Grudge should be against Templeton for letting his ego ruin that team. Team could score at will, still think it was the best wolves roster to ever lace them up. Incredibly talent, and the roster was filled with scary humans as well.
This is true. They quit on him.
