Anyone know why David Goyette has only played in 2 games with Coachella of the AHL. Is there a possibility that he can be sent back to Junior? Would make things quite interesting.

Only in terms of development ( for WJC or longer term) I do think Sudbury is the right choice based on the team's play and the coaching approach. Time to grow a pair, swallow some pride, and play in Sudbury. Hopefully the first thing to be developed will be his attitude. I only suggest this path as I am beginning to think a reasonable trade is not in the works.

Musty playing for the wolves at this point would probably be the worst case for all concerned. The wolves are not being at all truthful saying Musty is welcome back.

Interesting. I assume you have some knowledge the rest of us do not? One poster quoted Dario saying he would be in the line up the same day. So, is your stated view from the players, the mgmt, or both? Well, regardless, I hope a resolution unfolds soon.

Not sure why he has been out the last couples games, but there is basically no chance he would be coming back to Sudbury as an overage player. Could be wrong, but I can't think of too many times a player has been sent from AHL back to junior outside of Kip Brennan, but that was 25 years ago. 😂 What a team that was, by the way. Still hold a grudge against Peter Budaj!

Grudge should be against Templeton for letting his ego ruin that team. Team could score at will, still think it was the best wolves roster to ever lace them up. Incredibly talent, and the roster was filled with scary humans as well.

Musty reporting with the right attitude would be a plus for the Wolves not only in the long term but maybe long run if they get a good offer at the deadline.

Considering that he is getting contract pay I can not see them paying him to play Junior hockey More likely they would send him the ECHL to get some ice time

If the rumour is true and Musty is back and playing this weekend, surely he must lose his letter right? You can't just abandon the team and then come back with your tail tucked between your legs and pretend you're a room leader.

I don’t. I can’t imagine how his heart could be in it. Teammates know Musty would just be playing out the string. Uninspired play could possibly lead to a lower return; or worse, injury.
We need the points at any cost, this is a business Musty will generate fans. Remember these boards represent less than 1percent of the fan base, don’t be surprised if he gets a standing ovation from fans who just don’t care, they just want to see him play.

Musty is moving at some point, but he needs to be playing to have a chance to play at the juniors
If our GM would have drafted import players who would have reported we would not be in this situation. Does it really surprise anyone of his incompetence?

So, who is going to throw rocks at the star player’s return to the nickel city?

If he produces and comes back a team player would you change your tune?

I hope for the organization and for the player it’s water under the bridge.

The fans would be totally thrilled to see a 200 foot player. They'll forgive him the first time he scores.

This again? We get it you hate RP. From the sounds of it you would trade Musty for a 7th round pick and be happy.

Is he the perfect GM no, no one is if there was a perfect GM guess what they wouldn't be here they would be in the NHL. We drafted 2 of the best available imports at the time. Again we have a limit as to what we can offer, we don't know what the other teams offered. He'll maybe their teams at home offered $100,000.00 to them. Guess what we can't do that and why wouldn't they want to stay home for something like that.

This is good news for everyone. I wonder how the Wolves are going to explain this away
Explain what, the trade request isn't just gone. He just realized if he wants to play at the juniors he needs to start playing.
