These are some of the players that I envision being dealt. Sudbury will look at some of these pieces IMO.

Barrie

OA-Punnet, Frasca both players can provide an element to a contending team.
19-Jelsma will come at a cost because of his overage potential

Brandtford

I don't think they sell as they have decent team skill, size, goaltending, defence and toughness. They add maybe one piece for added depth in a nice supportive fan base. They have surprised many this year.

Erie

Gaudreau would be a nice piece for a team that needs goaltending but then again Erie will maybe sell softly and maintain a playoff spot and they will need Big Ben.

Sova most likely to be dealt as they seem to have the depth and could use the picks back by trading him. Sudbury on the radar!

Flint

Funny team as they appear better than their standing. However they will be in tough in the West to buy so look for them to move some players.

Giroux has leadership, skill, is crafty, and good speed could be useful for a team that has an OA spot open. Ottawa can use this guy.
Kressler a Toronto draft pick adds a nice scoring piece for a team. Perfect fit for Sudbury.
Hayes lots of talk about him moving. Big piece. What will the cost for him be?
Smith not much talk about him being dealt but he adds good depth to a team. Good size and can play a tough no nonsense style.

Kingston

The big fish is Ludwinski and he can be a huge piece for a team looking to add one more offensive cog. Again Sudbury fits the bill here.

Poole might be a depth move for a team who need size and some grit down the middle but its a risk as he has been hurt lots in his career.

Kitchener

I don't see them making lots of moves out. Maybe one of their 4 19 year olds to get some picks and the only one I see giving them the most return would be Swick other than Brzu. Unless of course they want to move an import to build the bank of picks for another run next year. A team that does very little IMO come deadline.

London

Again the same as Kitchener they will not make any earth shattering moves. They will maybe make some smaller moves to work towards next year when they and Kitchener battle it out in the West again. Sim and Edward two guys they may move to clear up some space for younger players. They will add picks for two guys who will be just depth for teams. Sudbury could use the grit of Edward. Julian will attract interest however may have to pay lots for him as London always seem to get their way in deals.

Mississauga

Doesn't take much to see that the next two years will be all Missy. They have a glut of young players. They may move out one 18 year old forward and D to pick up a 19 year old just for added experience for a playoff run. They will stay pretty much statues quo. I see Haley and Zebeski as guys they can move on from to pick up one depth piece and add some mid round picks.

Niagara Falls

They are improving and headed in the right direction. They have 4 or 5 19 year olds. I think teams are only asking for Lavoie. Who wouldn't want this huge piece looking to add scoring on right side of the ice. One of the more dangerous right wingers available. He will be costly but not Beck asking.

North Bay

Seems like they have been competitive for so long. Is this the year where they decide to take a back seat and sell off guys. Saginaw may look at Divi to man the net. As well as Wakely or Romani. Not sure if Nelson is a fit there because they already have the offence on the backend in Sag. But never count out someone that surprises us and goes after Nelson. North Bay has a chance to pick up some valuable younger pieces and picks. They shouldn't miss this chance to capitalize on these assets. Look for a team to maybe pick up Zito or Ertel as well.

Oshawa

They will make their best chance at getting picks and an 18 year old player back so they make a run next year. Only see Roobroeck and Lockhart team kicking tires on.

Ottawa

No secret Ottawa has too many defenders. Look for teams calling on Smyth, Sirman or Mayich. Stonehouse is the big piece teams will want but will come at a cost. OA goalie Donoso teams may look at getting as MacKenzie will be their starter next season.

Owen Sound

Never a team that deals a whole lot. They may make some smaller moves to add some extra depth for the playoffs but I don't seem them moving on from anyone. I would be really surprised if Degray made any big moves.

Peterborough

Key team at the deadline. Beck, Mayer, will be on the move. Outside chance Smith moves as they will want him as OA dman next year. Will be costly if he is dealt. Same could be said for undrafted McCoy and Melee. Sudbury could be in on these two guys.

Saginaw

They are obviously going to add a big piece. They have to. North Bay always seems to be that team they deal with. I look for these two team hooking up for a blockbuster once again.

Sarnia

They need picks badly and maybe some youth up front. Only players they can move on from is the twins and Filak. It won't bring much back but they need to add to their cupboard.

SSM

Not sure when they last made a deal with North Bay but I see them going hard on Nelson. This will be similar to how they went after Thompson a few years ago. This is all they will do or maybe add a depth piece up front. But they really don't need much as you don't want to mess with the chemistry. They have a good mix of players. To get Nelson they may move on from a couple of young players like Virgilio and Brown.

Sudbury

If they are in on Mayer then they need to move on from one of the OA players. It will be difficult but I see Toure or McCallum before Anania. But who knows what Papineau has up his sleeve. Maybe he adds Mayer and moves on from Anania and picks up another 19 year old D man from Ottawa or Erie. Protz is the best of their young D and would be hard to see him go but he may need to make a deal happen.

Up front the Wolves desperately need another offensive player for the second line especially if Delic is out long term. Ludwinski fits the bill. We shall see. Sudbury also needs some toughness for a deeper playoff run to protect the big guns and provide them the space they need. Villeneuve and Walton are the asking price for most big deals but I don't see Sudbury dealing V he is a different bread. I see Walton and Protz having to be included in any big deals, Painful as it is but that's the cost of going all in.

Windsor

They have made several moves already this year but I still see them maybe moving out a 19 year old or two for picks and maybe to fill one last card. Abraham could have a market. Smith might add some depth and won't cost much as he has had a horrible year to date. But a change of scene might be the answer to add some toughness and size to a team.

If the wolves are all in then they have to go all in no thinking about next year, that is what it will take, you can’t have both. Make your decision buy or sell plain and simple. The team needs to most importantly eliminate shots as goaltending is still unproven. Two more power forwards and a tweak on D is what it may take. If you can play 70 percent on the other side of the red line is what they have to try to achieve.

Well, this is the best team they’ve had in a very long time. I agree - they need more forwards and a tweak on D. I’ve bitched about the coaching all season and I’m not changing my opinion on that. While last nights game was a nice win it was basically Goyette and Musty out-skilling Flint. The team systems are simply non existent compared to what the other teams are doing.

Just go get whatever you can to add more skill and let’s hope for the best.

I really believe we need 4 players. One high end forward with another depth piece. Tougher guy.

Then I think we need a bigger dman to tighten things up defensively. And then a more offensive guy. I don’t think Mania is healthy or the guy that will take the next step offensively for us at least this year.

Spoke with someone in the organization about the rumour of Delic's injury and was told he'd be back after xmas. Was also told he's been on the ice practicing.

Thats exactly what I think they will do and let the chip fall where they may. I hope it works out for everyone involved.

Your thoughts, is Vondas worth keeping a euro spot if we are able to acquire a top end euro

This is pretty devastating, I thought Connors was one of the strongest 16 year olds in camp. Huge loss for the Wolves of tomorrow.

Great first road period. Gain red line and dump with a strong forecheck and taking the body at every opportunity. OZ exits very strong and great tending by Chucky…well done.

Guess this answers the question on who the goaltenders going forward is, both Vondras and Vondenberg have had similar outings and not been pulled
I thought first goal might have been tipped, second goal should have had it. I think Coach feels team still in it and Vandenberg gives best chance to win? For some reason Krawchuk has always had a short leash, not sure if they feel he can rebound back.

Vandenberg battles all game. I agree on Vondras doesn't get the hook too easily, but he's your number one at the time, need to get him in a rhythm.

Was a huge opportunity for a statement game from Krawchuk. Something ain't right. Demoralized by the trade for Vandy? Disappointing. Thought he had more to offer.

Frustrating loss. Hopefully Krawchuk has some value at the deadline. If he does he’ll be gone.

Didn’t agree with the pull on chucky but Vandenburg came in and made some big saves that I’m pretty sure chuck wouldn’t have made. Not sure about the two goals Vandy let in cause I’m only listening but I’ll let the viewers let me know.
I’ve always been a chucky supporter ever since I saw him in NB last year come in in relief. Guess we’ll see how this sits with him.

not sure what players are missing for Saginaw wasn't that impressed by them. We had our chances not sure why we try the extra pass when great opportunities to shoot sometimes.

I've liked Konyen game this road trip, playing well.

I’m ok with the pull. The coach and fans are sick of watching him let in goals that 99% of goalies can save. It’s like he can’t track a shot (especially from a longer distance) He has a short leash because he has been garbage all year. Vondras hasn’t been much better but at least we have seen some glimpses. Every shot on goal is scary when Kraw is in net. He will not be traded, he will be released.
