Sudbury Wolves 2022-23 Season Thread (Part 3)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. It will be interesting to see who they start today. But i just can’t see Krawchuk getting 3 in a row. Most likely Brassard today with Larmand and Yearwood back in todays line up.

If the Wolves can play a solid defensive game today and find a way to get couple in they could pull off a 3rd consecutive road win. A full line up couldn’t come at a better time today.

Huge to get a win today and come home with some confidence going into March the final few weeks of the season.

Nice to see Goyette break out with two last night.

Huge game today, would be nice to get a little breathing room on Oshawa, who have another tough game at home vs. Ottawa.

Would be a huge mistake playing Brassard today. Play the hot hand in Krawchuk. We need our best goalie for today's pivotal matchup

Agreed, let’s ride the hot hand and get this important W. Its not about feelings at this point in the season. It’s about playoffs. The team seems to play better in front of Krawchuk

Yes, in the past coaching staff had no problem playing Ranger and Brassard 3 of 3.
 
Had to take at least one stupid penalty that period. We’d be dangerous with a real powerplay. Don’t let them shoot on Brassard.
 
Great win and weekend, 3 wins. Wolves PK was working well today :) stay out of the box especially when we have a lead. Not sure what Musty thinking at end of the game. Hamilton Announcer is a whiner, focus on calling the game.
 
I mentioned they needed a strong defensive effort today in front of Brassard to win. Last game of 3 in 3 nights I just didn't expect them having to kill that many penalties. The ref was horrendous.

My fav player as well. Mentioned that yesterday. Complete player for the most part. Calm cool and collective.

It amuses me that people continue complaining about Musty and his defensive play when Goyette is the team's worst player in +/-. I feel like I see Musty make an effort defensively much more consistently then Goyette at this point, and the stats tend to agree.

Regardless, between Goyette, and Musty the wolves have a boatload of offensive talent in those two.
