For Trouba the talk would be around Virtanen and Juolevi at the minimum but I don't think he is traded until next summer if at all.

no
if a F it will be zuc only.

the ideal deal remains McD for Trouba +
no longer needs to be a massive add due to new contract, but clearly McD will stay unless Jets add enough

and that add is ___________________________

Roslovic or a first round pick is the most I would do. Most Jets fans would probably not make that deal though

I wouldn't.

split the dif

ranger 2nd 2017 and 2018 + McD
for
Jets 2017 1st + Trouba

still trying to figure this out
If I take cap dump Pavelec we need to add further to the small add for Trouba for McD

3rd star in 3rd game back in the shutout win over conf leading Hawks. Off market.

Trouba has been absolutely outstanding in his three games back. The Jets are going to do everything they can to convince him to stay. If they can't, his value is going to rise substantially if he keeps playing this way.

however, while he has emerged to solidify your RD
you still only have Morrissey on LD
I still think you do McDonagh + for Trouba +
but w/Jake's new contract, having hard time to figure out those +s

Enstrom has been excellent on LD, paired with Trouba. Chiarot has been improving as a third pairing LHD. With Morrissey playing so well I think the Jets don't feel much pressure to acquire an LHD. Their preference would probably be to keep Trouba if he's willing. If not, they might consider something like McDonagh, but might want to look a bit longer term. If Trouba maintains his outstanding play he'll command a high return.

Mcdonagh is never going to be traded for Trouba. No chance. Would have to be a huge add from Winnipig. Skjei+ for Trouba would be much more likely. Skjei is already playing like a solid top 4 in his rookie season and definetely has top pair potential. Skjei can play all situations, has 9 points in 16 games, great skater and puckmover. Young top 4 LH defensemen with alot of potential that fits the Jets needs. One of very few young defensemen who might be available in the NHL atm because NYR has Mcdonagh and Staal on the left side aswell and we are very weak on the right side. Mcdonagh is also a UFA in two years after this season. He is already 27. Skjei would be a much better fit with his age for Jets.

Arguably pre his new deal, when it was projected to be at least 5.5 or more for 6 years min that McD on his sweetheart deal would command a solid, if not large add ("huge" is pushing it), THEN such size add would fly.
Not now, with Jake at 3 for 2 plus RFA rights.

As of tonight, Skjei leading all NHL rookies in assists!
No, WE need to keep our young core of which he is a jewel
So glad they listened to me and several others about not moving Skjei/Miller!

No, we MUST MOVE VETS instead
Skjei is NOT available
now maybe McD would be if the correct small to medium add could be had
not BS

If he would waive, and Jets would consider a fresh look at Marc Staal, who we can replace with Graves, THAT would be worth a look, but I don' see Jets jumping here

You're so glad that who listened ....?
I'm not sure if I'm just misinterpreting this but are you actually implying that hfboards actually has an impact on anything that happens in the real world ?

Zero interest in trading Trouba now. His play so far, assuming he maintains it.....just shows how poor the vast majority of these offers are. Not sure who I would trade Trouba for at this point, he's playing that good. Pretty much best to say keep your pieces.....no interest in them Trouba isn't available. Thanks for calling

Believe...

He does ;)

PEOPLE!

Many on our board at first were foolish enough to actually consider squandering this valuable currency. I had to argue constantly to give the kids a chance. Now almost no one there would do such a deal.
It was in this context I was referencing those who listened.

------------------

While it is not a substantial, let alone dominant factor,
I do believe GMs have lower level staff read HFB and other sports sites, just on the off chance of either:

a) seeing a trend of interest emerge [eg, complaints about size of goalie equipment, etc.]
and
b) seeing the occasional trade proposal that has legs for both sides, and noting the opinions for same from varied sources
