Post-Game Talk: Stupendous Stu offsets the broken Hyman

It’s intetesting how McDavid broke some Pens fans minds around here. Daver in particular should be studied in a psych class.

When McDavid has his Cup, I expect NOTHING less from Oilers fans than a picture of McDavid lifting the Cup to every criticism. “Ohh he hasn’t won! He hasn’t won!”

That’s all they have to left to say, and when that’s taken from away from them I want every Oilers fan rubbing their noses in it HARD
Don’t worry as soon as Connor wins the narrative will change to should have had it sooner. Bookmark this

What was the crowd chanting through much of the game. It didn't sound like Ottinger. Couldn't make it out what they were saying. Crowd had marbles in mouths. Drunk indecipherable chant. haha. I was gonna put subtitles on see if it picked it up.
U.S. back up was chanted for most of the game and then they switched to Jacob later in the game.

Not a single person was posting this wtf are u going in with? This is that I post after a big win? Everyone is happy Stu is on a roll. Ridiculous
they're happy cause he's playing great and they've been wrong about him....AGAIN

but then there's the "we will never win anything with him!" or the "trade him even if we win the Cup!" crowd that comes out after every loss

certain posters only show up to bitch about "not my fault" Skinner

50 hits tonight, hopefully it carries through to Thursday.
A lot piddly late hits that do nothing because the play is already going the other way. Hyman was delivering those hits while keep plays alive on the forecheck. A half-ass weak hit by Podz after the puck is already out of the o zone needs to change. We really need to figure out our forecheck and aggressiveness without hyman as nobody on the wings is as fast, tenacious and effective.

I believe we can do it, but it's going to be really tough

He seriously looks night and day from what we saw earlier in the playoffs. It's almost two different goalies.
It’s ridiculous. Like he looks nothing like the start of the playoffs. Calm, good side to side movement, good puck tracking. Like I didn’t have to clench every time the puck was in the zone.

I mean, no one was cheering for Skinner to fail, come on. The hard facts were he was not coming up with saves when they were needed. His save percentage was absolutely cratered. Pickard came in and *did* make those crucial saves, at the most important times until he was injured.

And now, Skinner has come back and has not only made the saves when needed, but has performed incredibly (and not just relative to his previous horrific stretch there). He is up near .910 or thereabouts , which is a minor miracle considering the scoring happening in the playoffs. He's an Oiler goalie, of course people want him to succeed for the team to do well. He and Pickard have to be good for us to be able to advance. The fan base passion means we're always going to turn on and eat our own when they aren't playing up to par to the satisfaction of us all -- but we're all here now, cheering on the guy.

I'll say for myself I felt bad for him at times, knowing just how nearly everyone in the hardcore fan base i.e. us here, for example, was hating on him. All those slings and arrows will take a heavy toll on someone. It's still just a game, not life and death, and sometimes we gotta dial that personal mudslinging back a bit but that's the blessing and curse of the rabid passion for this team we all have.

You go to Jeff Skinner and tell him if he wants in he has to play Hymans game. Hit everything in sight and control the boards on the forecheck. If Leon can do it Jeff should be willing as well lol

The point is no one was posting any of this childish bs you just came in looking to start shit. Pathetic enjoy the run.

No one was wrong at the time he was really struggling it’s why he lost his job. As you slow?
