Get rid of plastic food containers, water jugs, etc. Been doing this for years. Never warm anything up in the microwave in plastic regardless if it says its safe. Years ago I worked with a guys who still warmed up food in those plastic margarine containers. I told him that shit causes cancer and he said Oh well. Not long after he was diagnosed and immediately made the change. Not that that was the cause but he really started taking his health more seriously.

Microplastics are a big deal but the masses wont do anything about it until its too late. I think its inevitable that people are going to start suffering from degenerative brain disease at higher and higher rates and not entirely due to miscoplastics either. We live in an era where the majority of people both mindlessly and unknowingly pollute their bodies with a large range of things and change most likely wont happen until a large percentage of the population starts seeing very negative effects.
