I can't wait for a Stuart Skinner appreciation thread. Comments will be interesting
That goal was pretty much Stu waving the white flag, granted our forwards did f*** all. That 3-0 goal that ended any hopes of winning game 6 should be enough to make them want to find another goalie.

I’m not even sure how likeable a guy he is. This is a guy that has a habit of taking no public accountability for his poor performances, insisting he has personally played well in bad games. All while having no issue with saying the team was bad and needs to be better and referring to team as “they” instead of “we”.The Skinner addiction from this organization is nearing the point of deluding themselves into self destruction. Might already be there.
Even if they like him, at what point is enough enough and change is needed? Anyone here ever have that employee or coworker that is a good person, and people like, and you want to keep giving them chances, but just can't get it done? That's what he is to this organization now.
We get it. Local. Young. Almost won it once. But for f*** sakes, facts are facts here.

Skinner is not amazing, ever, my lord this fiction needs to die. He occasionally doing what he needs to do and stay in his net when the club is playing airtignt and we're playing clubs that are either inept or basically incapable of making plays or scoring. These playoffs just continued to show the problem with Skinner: He's either amazing or unplayable. There is zero in-between and zero ability to predict it. (well unless his opponent is Dallas)
In 15 playoff games he had 1 game with (what I'd call) an average SV% (890-920). And I'm not picking out arbitrary numbers that deliberately just miss what he had: The nearest to either extreme was .881 and .966...
His playoff stats are hilarious. You've heard of Russian Roulette? Well behold, Skinner Roulette...
- Games with over .965: 5
- Games with under .835: 7
- And games between those extremes: 3
