Maybe if the "best" players played the best, the Rangers wouldn't be in this position.
Stu should've been gone last year when the best players WERE playing their best.
This is long overdue.

Assistant GM is having fun while he is at the helm and Sather is out of service for a few days I see....
Waiving the least expensive and least important player you might add. Someone has to stop Gorton! He's gone mad!
Maybe he should try waiving Boyle, the biggest waste of money on the roster. That would be impressive.

The play of the "best" players is without a doubt a problem, but it has little to do with Stu Bickel. He's not an NHL caliber player.
Tweets from Gross:
"Bickel on being waived: 'It's been tough for me to get an opportunity and play any minutes on the back end to develop my confidence.'"
"Stu Bickel says it's 'Wait and see' for the next 24 hours. He won't comment further. Safe to say, though, he's hoping to be claimed."
Oh, screw you, Bickel. You're a terrible player and it's by Torts' good graces that you've been on the Rangers for as long as you have.
maybe McIlrath to be given a look...i hope this happens. with Bickel being on waivers maybe...
Is Asham due back soon? Are they just clearing roster spots for Fasth and perhaps Asham's return to the line-up?
Newburry was recalled, so doesn't look like its gonna be Fasth.
I doubt Fasth would be ready to go tomorrow anyway, with the jet-lag and all.

Brooks speculated that it would be mid-week
Bickel could get claimed. He is not making any money next season at $800,000. A pro-rated $700,000 for the rest of this season. $750,000 cap number is below the AHL threshold. $900,000 this season. $925,000 next season.
