So with all the talk about the "glue guys" (Marty, Foegele, Wallmark, etc), who might sit if/when Williams returns?

I know Bob mentioned he was close to a decision a couple days ago

My guess is Brian Gibbons.

But seriously, I think Haula’s gonna be in and out quite a bit, and if the team truly ends up completely healthy and Williams comes back it’s a good problem to have. From the fully healthy 12 man roster I’d think McGinn would be most likely to sit.

And, frankly, depending on how well he comes back from this whole break, Williams himself might be in that rotation of guys that sit as well.

After coming back from down 1-0 with 2:56 to go to beat the Avalanche, the Hurricanes finish 4-0-1 on their 5-game road trip through Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and Colorado. They get 9 out of 10 points on the trip, first time in franchise history that's happened.

James Reimer is now 8-3-0 with a .934 save percentage and 2 shutouts on the road this season.

Slavin nets game-winning goal, Reimer makes 27 saves

Nine-Point Trip

Two countries. Six cities. Five games. Eleven days. Some 7,000-odd miles.
And nine of a possible 10 points (4-0-1).
"All in all, a pretty great trip," Brind'Amour said.
Indeed.
"We're building something: The way to play and understand how we have to play as a team to be successful," Brind'Amour said. "That's important."
The Canes blazed through Western Canada and Colorado and will now enjoy a jovial flight home.
"It was a long trip. We're all looking forward to getting back to our families," Reimer said. "It will be a fun airplane ride home."

Hi friends, long time no like!

Great, even game! Wish Cole wasn't brain dead and we could have had 3 point game. Hope we meet at the Finals!

PS. I'd do dirty things to get Slavin from you guys (NEVER HAPPENING). Guy is still criminally under rated. Close to top 10 D in the league.

It took me at least a couple of years before I stopped finding Tripp trigger-level annoying. It helps to realize he’s the most guileless person you’ll ever see. He really is THAT excited and THAT corny. He’s Spongebob, but hockey.
That can't be; I have it on authoritative sources that everybody's guile.

So uhh, don't look now but Reimer is tied for 7th in the league with Lehner for Save Percentage in the league at .927

I love Mrazek but I do wonder if it might be in our best interests to see if Reimer can handle a bigger workload. If we can consistently get those kind of numbers out of our starter, we might have the missing piece that pushes us to a Cup.
