Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. So instead of signing the high scoring forward we needed we sign the train wreck combo of TDA and Orlov…
I know we like the familiarity, but if we’re going to have any chance at making the most of these acquisitions, Skjei-Pesce need to split up. Both Orlov and TDA need competent babysitters.

He definitely doesn't seem as solid in his own end as people said he was. But im willing to cut him some slack. Every dman weve acquired has taken at least 2 months to adjust.

True, but if we're taking one out of the lineup for Chatfield, do you think it's going to be the guy who we're paying $8 million, or the PP specialist who's made zero impact on our PP?

Orlov will be fine, will take some time but not worried at all about him. I do think his play style fits so much better with a Pesce or Chatfield rather than TDA but it's early in the season so we're just figuring things out and have plenty of time to do so. I do think this coaching staff and team is very much in the mentality of "the only thing that matters is playoffs" at this point -- just like the Bolts got to after 2018-19 elite regular season and playoff choke to the BJs.
Te: Orlov—new team, new system and saddled with TDA as his partner. One of them needs to adjust their style and be the stay at home D versus both recklessly roaming out of position.

Based on last night they might have needed a game like this where Rod can tell them post game they don’t get to just throw their sticks on the ice and beat an NHL team.
