Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

Imo, all the uproar is only helping the Panthers when all the momentum is in the Leafs favor, too late, be fir the love of God stfu…….

Meh I don’t think the leafs players really give af. If they did they would have went after Bennett during the game.

I think this actually gives the leafs the upper hand. Refs will probably be a bit more vigilant with Florida’s stuff and call those things more now. Leafs need to remain calm and keep scoring goals. I think they have this series if they focus like they did in periods 1 & 2.

I didn't guarantee anything. I thought Tampa would win. They didn't. Has no bearing on this series. Leafs would have won this series whether it was Tampa or Florida. Feel free to ridicule me all you want, but this leafs team will be in the Cup final this season.
Your positivity is admirable, but if your so certain the Leafs will be in the cup final, I’ll take that bet, how about the loser stops posting in this forum?

You really think that Bennett is all that??? I bet Domi whips him around like a rag doll. Bennett is only tough behind his refs that he has in his back pocket. He would get dismantled by Domi. 100%.

I have watched Bennett play since his York-Simcoe days as an amateur through to the Toronto Marlboro's and in his OHL career with Kingston. Holland Landing is around the corner and he was the area prodigy along with McDavid up the ranks. He was always dirty, always a scumbag on the ice with multiple suspensions across his entire rise in amateur. One thing you should know, is he has always turtled under scrutiny. He is a shit disturber who didnt back it up. Hes not a fighter and Domi would destroy him.
They fought already and Bennett absolutely destroyed him. Completely one sided beatdown. If it was Tie Domi though, Bennett would eat through a straw.

Lost amongst the chaos last night - the Leafs medical team, and concussion spotters, all missed Stolarz taking a puck, and then an elbow, to the head. He kept playing.

It literally took him coming over to the bench and puking his guts out before they realized something was wrong.

That's woefully inept and simply not good enough.

Let’s chill on being a hero and calling out the medical staff. Concussion symptoms don’t always appear immediately. It can even be days before the first symptoms appear.

I think it’s really easy to criticize from the couch. But you can’t really diagnose a concussion just by looking at someone, they also have to run the baseline test from the beginning of the season and if he fails that you’ve got a good case he’s got a concussion.

People have talked about Tkachuk going after Marner after the whistle, but I haven't seen any mention of the tripping on Benoit. Did anyone notice that at all?

Oh I saw that. Benoit ragged the puck to burn up the clock and they dumped him after the horn went. Didn’t catch the POS but par for course. Didn’t phase Benoit as he was all smiles in the celebration.

Cheap team being cheap, with a prick coach.

I thought I caught that when it happened but it was never mentioned and Benoit was fine so I thought it must have been nothing.
Who tripped him?

To be fair goalies get a puck to the mask fairly regularly and they don’t really get pulled from games on default.
While that's true, combining the puck to the head with the Bennett incident and him lying on the ice after contact, should, at the very least, have triggered the spotter to put down their popcorn for a few minutes at least.

These spotters had no issue yanking Tavares in game 4 OT of the Sens series despite a similar reaction to head contact from both players.

Lets hope Stolarz is good. Either way it doesnt change the fact of what the NHL has made this series, Bennett will have a target on his back along with Marchand and Thachuk. To be honest no one on the Panthers is safe. If liberties are allowed as the NHL has stated with this non suspension. Its open season.

Let the games begin.

Remember this play by Tkachuk against Campbell? Not even a penalty. Then the baby yoda loses his mind when Muzzin softly sends a puck his way as he lied on the ice.

This is the type of team the Leafs are playing against, they must not forget this.

Tell me the league wants to protect players heads.

I guess you missed their last tilt.

We need to get more physical. I know we've been doing well these playoffs so we dont need to change much but I've noticed we as a team could be way more physical. We've been playing timid so far these playoffs (even against Ottawa for the most part).

Certain Players like Jake McCabe, Brandon Carlo, Scott Laughton, OEL...could be way more physical then they have been so far

Maybe thats just what they have been told but I've noticed we're playing very timid
