Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

Given the Leafs are up 1-0, Bennett gone for a game can really help them get a jump on the series

Florida gets a player back Wednesday who is returning from a suspension.
For the 2nd time this season.

How the league doesn't absolutely hammer down on a team with this many serious infractions in such a short period of time (including the disgusting antics in Round 1 against Tampa Bay), is beyond me, and reinforces the belief they absolutely condone this kind of behaviour.

I don't know what's worse, the hit by Bennett or how pathetic and scared the panel is to say anything negative about it. I don't understand the hesitancy to call it what it was: an elbow to the head with intent to injure.
TheScore has an article up - title?

“Maple Leafs’ Stolarz exits after collision with Panthers’ Bennett”

If he isn't suspended the team needs to pull together, get the whole world is against us mentality and play with a degree of passion we don't see in these guys often
Happy to play with 8 forwards for game 2. Just run Bob in the first 90 seconds. Make it obvious for all I care.

Hey man, no big deal. The refs were right there!

You really cheer for a hard rim around to catch Maurice right in the chops one of these days. Hopefully that’ll stop him from talking for a while. His narcissistic monologues are so eyeroll.

Shut the eff up once Paul. You sucked in Toronto too. Still remember you!

The only thing is I think the leafs are on the phone right now saying this is twice. They will bring up the Marchand sucker punch and the Knies slam. I think he’s getting 1 game, the fact that he didn’t come out to speak to the media is telling. If it was unintentional, you come out and say I didn’t mean to do it and own it.

He’s probably getting 1 or 2. Too much noise around this one and leafs will/are already calling Parros about this one.
It’s the Leafs and Parros. That’s all we need to know to know nothing significant will happen to Bennett. We have enough evidence over the years with how Parros has handled Leaf players being targeted.

One time, I was driving my daughter to school. Winter time. It was icy.

She got out of the car, and slipped and fell. She seemed okay though and went to school. Later that day she threw up in school. I picked her up. She was concussed. They was not very well for a couple of days, then she got better.

I remember watching a leaf game once and some one got hit on the head and was lying on the ice. The commentator said something like, they watch and count how many seconds before he starts moving to assess the severity of the head injury.

Stolarz got up right away
I hope, Stolarz who like my daughter, got up right away and played a bit more before throwing up,

They do condone it, as long as you're one of Bettman's pet franchises.

Bennett may be able to explain this away as accidental. You can see he stepped on Stolarz’ stick and slips right before his arm extends.

It likely was at least partially deliberate, but I’m not sure how the DOPS handles the issue of proof of intent.

Its three years in a row. Knies, Marchant, and Stolly (so far).

He hit him in the head, he concussed him, he clearly wasn't forced into that position on the ice

I don't think woops is a great defense but it is the DOPS so who knows
