Injury Report: Stolarz Stretchered Out Of SBA During Game 1

Well no they don't care about head shots but the shock and severity of the Stolarz injury should shame the Department into doing something more drastic. Unless some goes cleats up on Bobrovsky and that's okay based on precedents.
Especially with the world watching.

I swear this league has lost 100s of millions, maybe more, in potential sponsorship dollars because of dirty hits and injuries that keep big corporations from really opening up their wallet and following the sport. To this day it's still a butt of jokes for most Americans "oh these guys fight all the time right"?

Clean, hard and heavy hockey is great. Not dirty stuff and it is the one aspect of sport that really angers me. It's 2025, the sport, the science and the world has changed. Why won't the NHL?

If two guys meet and fight in the heat of the battle. They both get bruised a bit and are sore for a couple of days. That is far better than an unsuspecting man getting an elbow to the head when he is on his knees.

When you hit a guy with speed in a dirty manner or elbow a guy in the head when he is kneeling and not expecting it, you risk permanent damage.

I assume Bennett doesn't have enough brain cells to understand or he is a really slow learner. Perhaps many on his team have oatmeal for brains, but the head is extremely vulnerable. A player can die on the ice or who knows how many years later because of this shyte.

Bennett is a complete piece of shit. f***ing lowlife bum, he used to be teammates with Stolie too.

Hopefully the NHL actually does something this time, it's getting a lot of attention and they react based on outcomes rather than the action, which is f***ing stupid but hey Stolarz left on a god damn stretcher so something better happen.
NHL is really a reactionary league instead of a proactive one.
That was no oopsie. You can see it clear as day in the replay that he sticks out his arm
Bennett is a dirty player but on the other hand he knows how to use plausible deniability to help his cause. He’s a borderline player.

I’ll be rather surprised if Bennett gets suspended for that. By all means, he did it on purpose and is an astounding turd of a player, but it’s not a particularly violent hit. Side of the head might be why it’s a concussion, but players hit each other way harder in scrums all game.

Hope we get more info soon on why Stolarz seems to be in such bad shape here. Two concussion events in one evening compounding? Fingers crossed that there’s precautions and perhaps even some gamesmanship at play here, but I kind of doubt we see him again in May.

If you get hit in the head and throw up they have to rule out swelling etc. you would get put on a board until you get tested.

No one knows how serious this is yet. It could be he got hit in the nerve on your neck Or a concussion with swelling.

Either way. Direct hit to the head

I don't think I ever hated a player more than Sam Bennett. The shit this little bitch pulls aren't even hockey plays. It's utter bullshit just trying to injure guys, how many times has he done this now and he NEVER gets called for a penalty, forget a suspension.

This piece of shit should not be in the league, but we already know Parros and DoPS aren't doing shit about it. It's always open season on our guys.

I thought Matt Cooke was an utter piece of trash.

Bennett has to be the closest thing to him in today's NHL.

Early in Matthews career the main board would literally be singing Kumbaya when he got injured. Like actively expressing joy and happiness about a player being injured.
I remember that. Everyone also celebrated him not getting 70 goals while everyone was happy for Kucherov and McDavid getting 100 assists

The minimum return time for a player with concussion is 1 week - most often at least 2 weeks. Let's hope Woll can get us through the Panthers in Round 2 - he's more than capable.

Bennet drove the net, tucked his elbow he and made direct contact with the head

Then again it wasn’t glaringly obvious

The outcome really depends on how DOPS puts his history in context. And typically DOPS does factor in if there’s an injury on the play.

But knowing it’s the Leafs, it’ll be a fine.

Yep. Part of me thinks he'll get a game to settle down what could be some heated retribution this will set. He's a repeat offender. But a slimey fine from Parros would stick the middle finger to the Leafs yet again.

It just sucks because the Leafs have gotten their players suspended for similar or a lot less egregious plays. The biggest stinker is that there wasn't even a f***ing penalty with the ref starring at it. He wasn't pushed, he wasn't even touched. He just ran into the goaltender, who went down and the ref went like "oh that's an oopsie"

Twitter is a nasty and stupid den of false flag agents coming with misinformation, fake news, hot takes and trolling since a decade at least. Since Elon musk bought the site in 2022, it got even worse over there. Don’t trust the vast majority of « news/information » from social media, especially twitter
Yeah, of course. I'm just sharing a post that's gaining a lot of views on Twitter. I'm not saying that I endorse it! (Shares != Endorsement)

Ran into the goalie who was sitting right in the blue paint.

It was then I realized that these are just stunted development losers .

Main boards users have convinced themselves that a guy who scored 55 points is a better hockey player (some have said "much better") than a guy who scored 102 points and is good defensively.

Some of them simply aren't worth taking seriously when it comes to the Leafs. When I post on the main boards, I mostly just stick to the HOH section or series threads or polls not involving the Leafs. There are some smart posters out there, but the idiots can ruin the experience of posting on this site.
