Especially with the world watching.Well no they don't care about head shots but the shock and severity of the Stolarz injury should shame the Department into doing something more drastic. Unless some goes cleats up on Bobrovsky and that's okay based on precedents.
I swear this league has lost 100s of millions, maybe more, in potential sponsorship dollars because of dirty hits and injuries that keep big corporations from really opening up their wallet and following the sport. To this day it's still a butt of jokes for most Americans "oh these guys fight all the time right"?
Clean, hard and heavy hockey is great. Not dirty stuff and it is the one aspect of sport that really angers me. It's 2025, the sport, the science and the world has changed. Why won't the NHL?
If two guys meet and fight in the heat of the battle. They both get bruised a bit and are sore for a couple of days. That is far better than an unsuspecting man getting an elbow to the head when he is on his knees.
When you hit a guy with speed in a dirty manner or elbow a guy in the head when he is kneeling and not expecting it, you risk permanent damage.
I assume Bennett doesn't have enough brain cells to understand or he is a really slow learner. Perhaps many on his team have oatmeal for brains, but the head is extremely vulnerable. A player can die on the ice or who knows how many years later because of this shyte.
