ok I won’t argue that since I don’t follow Edmonton as much

But his attitude in Calgary was as bad as it could have been. I would be shock if there is a Flames fan that thought he was a positive influence
How would the fans know

Neal was a great team guy / lockerroom guy in Edmonton and from all reports every other team except Calgary. The problem with his “attitude” in Calgary is more so that Calgary has a toxic, clique-like lockerroom lead by assholes like Tkachuk and Gaudreau.
Neal is such a great team guy that every team he played for gave up on him after 2-3 years. And yeah Gaudreau is an asshole the same way McDavid is an asshole

Being a good locker-room guy has never and will never be the reason you make an NHL team. If that were the case a buncha hard working super nice AHLers would have made it by now.

Yes but they let him go in Dallas, Pittsburgh and Nashville when he was still a good player. Something about him that is not right but yeah Calgary was the worst case.

Anyway, attitude or not Neal can’t play anymore. He has many more negatives than positive at this point

I don't think any hockey fans has ever cared so much about another team's PTO invites as you have. Ummm, congratulations?
Well again schooling arm chair GMs whos hockey knowledge is based on x box is certainly entertaining before the actual season starts. Ummmm guess I could ask how the crow is gonna taste???

Nobody is saying that would be the only reason to keep someone. But you’re clueless if you think it’s not a factor. If two players are about even, being a glue guy is going to favor one guy over the other.

Totally different scenario. Neal was a veteran on a large contract already on the books.

No one knows what really happened, but I'm sure Neal being benched during the last few playoff games in Calgary had something to do with the trade.

No is suggesting that’s why you make it but “great locker room guys” are totally a thing and often Pat Maroon types stick for that particular intangible.

And toxic locker room poison types has been dumped in the past, Sean Avery etc

I don't think either makes the team. You said they will be competing for spots but you won't specify who they will be competing with. You think they're competing with Barbashev, or Sundqvist? Thomas? Bozak? Who are they competing with?
You didn't think......ahhhh....glad to see Neal in a blues uniform!

Then explain how Thorburn became our franchise leader in games played and we brought in Matt Hendricks twice
