Exactly, because next season could look just like this one. Zero reason to rush this.

If for some reason, this motivates the team to play better, this might be our only hope in saving the season....so tell me how that equals 'zero reason'? Sounds like a PERFECT reason to roll the dice.

Alright, I could be wrong. There is also a significant risk if Quick is truly "ready". His style of play requires that those muscles not be compromised or he becomes just another guy in goal.

Hope you're right and not me.

That's Great! Hopefully he'll be the shot in the arm our offense needs down the stretch! I'm sure JQ32 will kickstart Kopi & Gaborik's offense! :help:

Budaj is not responsible for the sad sac offense, he and Carter are the only reason this team isn't a cellar dweller.
I don't get how so many Kings fans think some miracle is going to happen here. You can't win games and have success when your GA and GF are nearly identical. And don't forgot Quick hasn't played in almost a year, I can't believe they'd throw him back in the NHL during a playoff race without a conditioning stint in the AHL.

Quick is huge presense in the locker room and I get that they will be motivated and that juice might carry them for a game or two but then reality will set in.

Quick last Season: 2.22 GAA 918 sv% 5 SO Budaj this season: 2.12 GAA 917 7 SO. Give LA 2 more wins for Quick stealing games but that's it

his answer to a tweet that stated when Quick comes back the Kings will be be better offensively.

Are they? Last season Kings averaged 32 shots on goal per game. This season 31. They're not executing on offense, not sacrificing

Significant risk how? That this may turn into a situation where he needs surgery? No problem, he's got 8 months until the start of next season....but this team has no more time to wait around and see, if they don't catch up in this race now, they all might as well sit out until October.

Almost a year?? I'm counting 4.5 months...are we talking about the same Quick?

How many more for Zatkoff though? He's 1-6-1 in games he's started. 3-4-1 gives them two more wins. That's 8 additional points they could have if they had Quick and an average backup.

You mean like the Ducks? 12 points ahead of the Kings with a +4 diff vs. -2 for the Kings.

First expect quick to be Rusty his first few games. I disagree with Bernstein, it's not the number of shots but types of shots. Like last night how many shots from the blue line did the kings take with no screens?

so I think the team is playing too tentatively knowing they didn't have a goalie that could bail them out. At least that's what I'm hoping. Instead of trying plays they would just try and maintain posession instead of scoring and just rely or hope for lucky bounces.

I just hope quick isn't coming back too soon.

I don't get to go to many games these days, but I bought tickets for Saturday's game against the Ducks awhile back.

Obviously the way the Kings have played lately hasn't made enthusiastic about this upcoming game, but finding out that Quick might be playing has me stoked!

At least they had one line gong when Toffoli, Carter, and Pearson were playing together. But Sutter broke the line up to try to jump start Kopitar. It's not working, so they should put Toffoli back with Carter. They should rest Kopitar during the Pk, he starting to get tired in the 3rd period. Kopitar is 9th on the team with shots on goal with 111. Carter has 189, Patrick Kane has 220, Brent Burns has 242, and he's a defense men. Shoot the puck Kopitar.

There have been 5-7 games where the goalies have cost us games. While Quick may not have won them all, I'd say we'd have at min. 4 more wins.
