What does a Stamkos signing actually look like in 2024? Didn't see much of him last year, can't even ballpark what he'd be looking for in AAV and term.

AFP has him at ~ $6.15M x 3 years. Tampa reportedly offered him something like 3M x 8 years and he turned it down.

I really have no idea, I'm guessing he'd prefer something around 4-6 years, 4-6M AAV.

Sounds like Stamkos is going for 6m x 4=24m and TBL countered with 3m x 8=24m if that's true.
Or 6m x 3 countered with 3m x 6.

Either way, I don't see Stamkos playing another 6 to 8 years with all his mileage and (major) injuries.

Couldn't have watched any Tampa last year if didn't see much of him. He had 40 goals and 41 assists. I'd say he gets 4-5 million on a 4 year contract

Will he chase a Cup? ( Ask Corey Perry who he thinks will be in the Finals ) Or will he chase the $$$ ?

Feels kinda weird that this is how it ends in TB.

They moved Sergachev to make room for Guentzel, not Stamkos according to Friedman.

He's been ppg for the last 3 years, with a 100 point season, and, as a Cats fan, I thought he was Tampa's best player in the short playoff series. For 1 year, 7 million seems right, on a slightly longer deal anything under 6 would be a steal.

I don't understand why they bothered dumping Sergachev if they're not gonna re-sign Stamkos.

And I also don't understand why they took McDonagh. Without taking him back and still sending Sergachev and Jeannot out, that should have at least been enough for Stamkos.

If would be embarrassing if Nashville signs him after they dumped McDonagh off on Tampa.
