Didn't expect Stepan to make it honestly, maybe he'll turn up his game.

Hopefully cally doesn't make them regret the decision and can get his game back on track the year. Lol at Orpik making it I guess they needed someone for crosbaby to skate circles around.

I think they should have taken Byfuglien and Ryan. Byfuglien's +/- is bad this season but Winnipeg and Pavelec in particular have been awful. Byfuglien is an excellent point-man on the PP and his ability to switch between D and wing would have been useful.

One of the hockey writers (Burnside? Custance?) mentioned a few days ago that Ryan would probably be left off because he apparently doesn't have the speed for the big ice. I don't know where that came from since it seems like every time I watch Ryan play he skates through or around defenders fairly regularly.

McD should have been the only one that made it. Orpik making the team is an absolute joke. And where the **** is Bobby Ryan?

No offense to Stepan but he doesn't belong on that team this year

No Ryan, Okposo, E. Johnson, Pominville, Bishop, Yandle

Just awful picks by USA Hockey

Well that's a **** reason. And that doesn't explain Orpik being there when we have both Johnson's, Buff, and Yandle.

Also, Pominville should be there in some capacity.

That so many good players were omitted shows the strength of the US roster. Orpik is the only major head scratcher, though I would have gone for Yandle over Fowler.

Callahan and Stepan got in despite mediocre years. I hope this represents an opportunity to boost their confidence.

USA loves their two way players. Just gotta try to win with what we got

All the forwards you listed who didn't make it play wing

Stepan is a center

Not comparable

This x100000000

So many people (see: main board) are ignoring this.

those guys weren't competing with him. stepan's competitors were alex galchenyuk and brandon dubinsky

Maybe we're looking not for the best players but for the right ones.

Thats a competitive roster with any team in this tournament except Canada. The bottom 6 will tear up softer Russian and Swedish teams, they won't be able to get the puck out of their own end.
