lol, Nurse yelled "BOOM" when Kane punched Lemieux.

There was zero reaction from LA's bench when he went down too.

Didn't like it in a 1:1 game, but having won the game it was an amazing penalty from Kane.
  • legit 0 reaction from Kings bench
  • Lemieux acts like he got a headshot from a sniper
  • Oilers win the game decisively
  • Kane EN goal
just lol

The Woodcroft Effect is in full swing now. No way we play like this under Tippett.

Suddenly Barrie looks like an actual defenseman again and the team is playing structured, technical hockey.

I’ll be happy to eat crow about Kane. :)

We all ate a few feeds of crow in our time . So no worries .

4 points back of Vegas with a game in hand all with Tippett as coach . We would probably have an extra 10 points with Woody as head coach .

3 goalie against in 3 games ! Who knew defence wins games ? Who knew the Oilers could play defence ?

Well thats good. We know the Oilers don't score at all in the playoffs. Drai has never looked worse than this stint under Woodcroft. Hopefully he figures it out. Almost 3 games in which he had nothing going.

3 games in which we won all . Most players would take that over personal stats but hey continue to stat count and disregard the wins .

They should have given Lemieux a penalty too just to add to the insult.

How is Woodcroft the first coach ever to start 3-0 on the Oilers?

Also how many times did Michaels have to say the Oilers are looking for a sweep in California like this was their last game of their California road trip?

I did think it was weird that they were so grumpy even when they were winning so much. Now it all makes sense.

I was one of those complaining even when we were winning.

People told me, "This team will never be a defensive club, we have to win in the style we play"

I said the coach could make this a more defensive team through strategy and practice. No one wanted to hear it.

Now Tipp is finally gone. Obviously, Woodcroft was thinking the same thing.

Vindication feels good

Also Derek Ryan looks like a different player under woodcroft, not a world beater, but just so much more effective and useful. They really should have made this change before Xmas
He does have pretty good linemates, so maybe he's not as worried about making a mistake?

It is nice to see though and as mentioned on broadcast and on radio, a lot of guys are playing with that extra jam now. Getting goals from all over the place.

Nice to see all three lines get an even strength goal. A bit surprised that running 11 forwards that our 11th forward only got 3 minutes. If this is the case they really should just play Perlini and give him some time with some offensive guys.

The real interesting part is they've only had one full practice with Woodcroft. But the guy doesn't shut up on the bench. He and his staff are constantly talking to players after their shifts.

The Oilers won 3 games in a row with virutally no PP contribution, pedestrian performances from McDavid and Draisaitl and even strength production from the supporting cast. The anti-Tippett indeed. Not to mention Woodcroft putting trust in the young guys with the young D out late and McLeod on the PK where he's played great.

Ok, NOW it's 1:30 here. WTH am I doing typing on a message board. Wake up in T minus 5 hours.
This was me too...
I stopped watching after the first goal...just thought we were back to "normal". Came back in the 3rd and it was tied at least. I was surprised as we were being outplayed.
Then bam bam bam and it's a 5-2 win
SHOCKED

The timing of Kane's penalties are a bit worrisome, but at the same time we've been asking for this all year.

Glad the team was able to overcome their goalie once again spotting the other guys the lead.
