Guys he wasn't being serious
If people want to check lines go to gamedaytweets.com

they've been running their top-6 pretty consistently as
Beauvillier-Crosby-Rust
Bunting-Malkin-Rakell

and their top-4 as
Letang-Gryz
Pettersson-Karlsson

Yeah they're likely starting with this:

O'Connor-Crosby-Beauvillier
Bunting-Malkin-Rakell
McGroarty-Hayes-Puljujarvi
Glass-Eller-Acciari
Puustinen-Poulin

Grzelcyk-Letang
Pettersson-Brunicke (2nd rounder from this year earning himself a 9 game trial)
Graves-St. Ivany
Aho

Jarry-Blomqvist

Injured: Rust, Lizotte, Karlsson and Nedjelkovic

Puljujarvi has been shockingly good for the Penguins, he has absolutely earned a top-9 role to start the year.

You don't think Rust will play Game 1 because he had a maintenance day after playing yesterday?

Someone needs to post Vegas lineup. They look much different compared to years past wth 6 roster players gone.

Hertl centering the 2nd line.
Stone with Roy
Brisson in the lineup.

Down the middle, they're still very string.

Eichel
Hertl
Karlsson
Roy

Updated after the Flames cuts and waivers on Oct 3 and because I know @izzy loved my first post so much ;)

For the Flames... who knows lol. I'ma have to color code this shit...

Default color = Almost 100%
Green =Will be on line, but may move to opposite wing
Blue = My educated guess
Red = other realistic options
* = Could play another position on same line

Note: I do not think waiver exempt players like Coronato, Honzek, Morton, Klapka... etc will be considered for the extra forward slot but may be ahead of the 13th Forward on the depth chart for regular ice-time

Hard to predict still, especially with Karlsson maybe not being ready for opening night, they entered camp with this lineup:

Barbashev - Eichel - Olofsson
Dorofeyev - Karlsson - Stone
Holtz - Hertl - Roy
Pearson - Howden - Kolesar

Theodore - Petro
Hanifin - Hague
McNabb - Whitecloud

Hill
Samsonov

And they have largely stuck with those lines (with a Karlsson replacement), except for swapping Roy out of Hertl's line from time to time, latest being for Howden.

I didn't know you could insert horizontal lines like these.

I'm gonna starting using these. Nice and clean way to present a lineup.

With one more good D that's a playoff lineup. Not sure as is but will certainly be a fun team to watch

I’m guessing Dallas starts like this with Nils on a short leash as usual.

Jesus, like you aren't wrong but that hurts my eyes

Sharangovich - Kadri - Kuzmenko
Zary - Backlund - Coleman
Huberdeau - Pospisil - Mantha
Lomberg - Rooney - Klapka
Pelletier

I think they send Coronato and Honzek down to get minutes.

Weegar - Miromanov
Bahl - Andersson
Bean - Barrie
Pachal

That's pretty much what I've taken away from training camp. They might even keep Cooley up

Thanks for posting a normal lineup guess.

Not sure how that other guy thought that post was helping anyone.

Jets:

Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Perfetti-Namestnikov-Ehlers
Niedrreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Kupari-Iafallo
Extras: Gustasson, possibly Jared Anderson-Dolan too. Brad Lambert and Nikita Chibrikov had strong camps, still haven't been demoted, but look like longshots to make opening day.

Morrissey-De Melo
Samberg-Pionk
Haydn Fleury-Colin Miller
Extra: still not announced, could be Coghlan, or may keep rookie Salomonsson up.

Kahkonen

22-man roster
-----

LTIR: Kane

The Oilers have enough cap space for a 23-man roster even if Kane was hypothetically ready to play. They will accrue cap space during the season for the TDL. If Kane pulls a Mark Stone, the Oilers could fit in a big TDL acquisition

Suter is day to day. I think he will be in game 1
Not sure what Tocchet's thoughts are on bringing back last years first line but this strikes me as the best (forward) lineup under those conditions:

Suter - Miller - Boeser
DeBrusk - Pettersson - Sprong
Hoglander - Blueger - Garland
Heinen - Raty - Sherwood

Boston
Bruins (likely with some caveats):

Zacha - Lindholm - Pasta
Marchand - Coyle - Geekie
Jones - Frederick - Brazeau
Beecher - Kastelic - Koepke

Lindholm - McAvoy
Lohrei - Carlo
Medium Z - Peeke

Swayman
Korpi

Caveats:
- Korp probably starts the first two to let Sway get back into the swing of things
- Poitras comes back from Injury, slides into the 3rd line to start, pushing Jones down and Koepke (likely IMO) or Beecher to 13th
- With Poitras back, consider the 2nd and 3rd line to be interchangeable.
- Lysell will get a shot at wing at some point, probably the 2nd line, moving Geekie + Braz down, and moving Jones or Beecher to 13th, who switch in and out pretty frequently. Unfortunately I don't think he holds it this year so the above point is likely the lines we should expect most of the year.
- I think we might see Medium Z with McAvoy a lot, to free McAvoy up a bit offensively and to take on some of the physical play he likes to do, which puts Lindholm with Carlo and Lohrei with Peeke.
- Lorhei will get a lot of PP time IMO, possibly fully running it since McAvoy has never been that good at running the point.

Lastly: I really want to see Brazeau flip with Geekie, he just seems to have the right simple game and nose for the net, and could be a 20 goal guy this year.

Matthew Knies - Auston Matthews - Mitch Marner
Max Domi - John Tavares - William Nylander
Max Paccioretty - Pontus Holmberg - Nick Robertson
Bobby McMann - Stephen Lorentz - Ryan Reaves

Morgan Rielly - Chris Tanev
Oliver E. Larrson - Jake McCabe
Simon Benoit - Philpp Myers

Thats my guess for the starting lineup. Jarnkrok and Hakanpaa starting season on LTIR.

We're inching closer and closer to opening day. Injuries have been happening, and prospects have been knocking on the door. When all is said and done, who will be on the ice in game 1?

Montreal is shaping up to be -

Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky
Roy-Dach-Armia
Newhook-Dvorak-Anderson
Pezzetta-Evans-Gallagher
ABB, Heineman

Matheson-Guhle
Hutson-Savard
Xhekaj-Struble
Barron

Sharks should be

Eklund-Granlund-Zetterlund
Gushchin-Celebrini-Toffoli
Kostin-Smith-Wennberg
Goodrow-Sturm-Kunin
Grundstrom
regular call ups: Bordeleau, Cardwell, Graf
Couture(LTIR)

Ferraro-Mukhmadullin
Walman-Ceci
Thrun-Vlasic
Benning
Rutta
potential call up: Cagnoni

Vanacek/Blackwood 50/50 split
better one traded at the deadline, Askarov takes over starting job

but probably won't.

Edit:

looks like Celebrini is getting put on the top line. Even after Warsofsky said he'd be sheltered. Interesting. Gushchin should easily work his way up onto the third line at some point.

Might be but for the first game it sounds like they want Heinen with Miller and Boeser. They have Suter with Raty and Hoglander in practice.
