And there are a lot of good AAA managers that don’t make it in the majors. You don’t see them in the HOF and getting movies about them. At the end of the day what you do at the top level is what counts.

This team is low event garbage. Not even fun to watch like the 22-23 team. Last year’s team pre-Green was easier on the eyes.
I’m skeptical that’s a Keefe thing, unless he just completely changed his style upon arriving here. This was not the case in Toronto.

I’m kind of over him also after those comments.
I mean, I was fine with him making those comments, but he hasn’t at all delivered since he got his chance again.
He wasn’t at all good at the NHL level. I don’t think it’s fair to say MacLean level. MacLean was probably the worst in the history of hockey.
So I didn't realize the game started at 6. Opened the NHL app and what do you know. It's like the past 2 weeks never happened.

Coaching is not all about the pros. Com'on man.
His Toronto teams definitely weren’t “this” boring but the end of his tenure they were far more boring than the start. The Leafs were by far the most entertaining team in the league when he took over. I think he’s gotten beaten down by playoff loss after playoff loss and has now reverted to traditional hockey man think. Same goes for Fitz without the repeated playoff losses.

They look good but it absolutely infuriates me that Keefe has watched these lines struggle to score for a month or so now and barely makes any changes.
Move Mercer to Hischier’s line, move Tatar to Haula’s line to assist in driving play, and move Cotter down so he can play crash and bang hockey with Lazar-Bastian:
Palat - Hughes - Bratt
Meier - Hischier - Mercer
Tatar - Haula - Noesen
Cotter - Lazar - Bastian
It just seems so obvious that this helps all of the players that are slumping lately.

Major 2009-2010 vibes for me. That team sported the best record in the league (or close to it) for like the first 35 games, then went .500 for the rest of the season and got ass blasted by the lower seeded Flyers in the first round.
I mean he has tried Mercer with Nico’s line at time. That hasn’t worked either. It’s time to stop trotting out Palat with Jack-Bratt. Might as well try Mercer with them. Palat with Nico. Noesen to L3

I think the losing started when the secondary scoring disappeared. They looked really good for a while up until Christmas which is why I think it's more roster than coach. Those guys just turned back into who they are.
