We still don't know if there was a rift in the room last season, but if there was, there certainly seems to be none now, and that's all I care about.

The team seems to be allowed to skate and score off the rush as long as they get back to back check. I'm assuming Maurice made this change, and if so, good for him. It's the right move for this group.
beginning to think the rift and ruffled feathers last year began and ended with buff

I don't know if you are right. There is a lot different this year. Laine and Roslo could finally be happier about their usage. Chariot, Myers, Trouba are all gone. Maybe they didn't want to be here. Maybe it's an us versus the world since everyone counted them out after losing so many of our D from last year. It could be Buff as he does not seem to want to come to back to play for us but it could be multiple other things as well.

Somewhere nice
There's still a lot of folks worriedly promoting the "mine is bigger than yours" mentality, but if you're interested in facts instead of opinions, we're spending more time on our phones and tablets than we are on TV. Which would explain why the NHL and all sports are heavily promoting their digital platforms, because that's where the growth in viewership (and subscriptions) is now happening, as per NBC News in July, 2019.

I believe they are getting (NBC) seeing that from youtube.

But sports and movies are hour long.

Most viewers viewed in youtubes are 2-5 min clip video.
Thats where smart tv's come along now. Hooking up your smart phones to the big screen for those viewing that you really need to have

A beer on your hand
Or a popcorn

;)

IMO
Highlights, clips and stats are good in small screen.
But movies and live sports are needed to be watch on bigger set with surround sounds :)

But yeah
We use our smart phones more.
Heck we spend more time with the smart phone than with our families. Most anyways

I have android tv box with roku remote installed. Just so I can control my 70” tv from the 55” one. So definitely my remote is not small!!
I kid you not - my sister's ex-boyfriend had a car with a custom stereo installed [uh yeah, this was in the olden days when that was still a thing]. This stereo came with a freakin' remote control!!!??? Just how lazy do you have to be that you can't stretch your arm to hit the control buttons on the stereo itself, instead using a remote control...

Wish I could rep the bolded part a million times. If I can't watch a game at home, even though I might be able to watch from my other devices (tablet or smart phone), I refuse to do it. I DVR/PVR the game (make *sure* I stay off the Internet/social media so I don't get spoilers) then watch on the big screen at home.
Only if I'm on vacation do I watch sports on my laptop (which I always take with me on vacations).
