Pasta would be the first player I would look at trading...I would trade anyone but Pasta

I would have totally been fine with a punt of a year.Fwiw I'm totally good with this being a down year. I just hope management is too.
Be GREAT to draft high
Be GREAT to sell some UFAs and maybe an RFA
And then just keep working around a core. We're allowed a down year.
I'm totally good with him getting absolutely posterized here while Korpi becomes at least 1B.
Sway has a big life lesson here ahead. His Instagram comments are STILL disabled, and I dunno if he'll be able to turn them on this year, or even next.
He's got all the millions to sleep on. But he's about to discover that maybe there's more important, specially if it was over 250k.
The sad thing is, I think they are trying. I think some guys just aren't high IQ players, and some guys just don't have the talent to play in the role given to them. Both but the passion gap is more concerning
with the 7th choice Sweeny is proud to select « any player projected in third round «Finally gonna get that high first rounder many have been complaining we don't have in our system.
top 3 pick garantee for next 3 years )))) and 150 goals max by season for bruins )))Pasta would be the first player I would look at trading...
I'll never understand this sentiment - He knows he's surrounded by bums and he's carrying the team's entire offense as the only high end offensive talent on the roster.... He always shows up in big games/playoffs as well. A home-grown superstar and an incredible personality.Pasta would be the first player I would look at trading...
I still do not see him making the big saves when needed, he should have been in training camp and then maybe he would of been prepared for the season. It's evident that this team is a middle of the pack team. They aren't close to the top tier teams like Dallas or Florida. Watch those games its looks like the Bruins are a junior team playing against pro's. The pure fact is this team has some decent players but lack studs. Pasta is playing soft again and isnt a 200 foot player, Marchand has 200,000 miles on his body is wearing out before our eyes, McAvoy isnt playing well....the rest of guys are just average joes.
As I posted....
Look at the teams Korpi has played against....Flyers twice who are awful...Korpi has a .973 against them...saw a total of 38 shots vs them in TWO games. Sway saw 38 last night alone. Korpi played well vs Calgary hats off he played real well. Against Colorado, Florida, Carolina he has a .853 save percentage. So against the crap teams he has played well. Against the "good teams" he is .853.
Bruins last year were 8-3 against Florida (4-0), Dallas (2-0), Edmonton (1-1) and Carolina (1-2). This year 0-5 so far. Yeah team isn't identical but no way they should be this bad.Stars Goal #1 – Matt Duchene is allowed to skate into an empty space the size of Texas in the right circle. Freddy does chase but lacks the speed to get there before Duchene is able to receive and shoot.
Goal #4 – Pasta misreads a play and completely wrong-foots himself, allowing Oskar Back to get open unopposed in the low slot. Zadorov arguably doesn’t play this very well either, and Back scores.
Goal #5 – Lightning McQueen Evgenii Dadonov simply skates away from Zacha and his pathetic attempt at a stick check, and scores unmarked.
Goal #6 – Roope Hintz casually wanders into the low slot and out-muscles the bigger Carlo and Lohrei. Chip in past Sway.
Goal #7 – Keystone cops. Carlo in no-man's land. At least the game was well and truly gone by this point.
Four entirely preventable goals and one gong show caused by poor coverage, lack of effort and sheer doddle-headed failure to do the basics. Topped off by Sway playing deep and timid in most cases, although he is not the main problem. Unacceptable stuff in college hockey, let alone in the NHL. Bad tactics and lack of personnel are one thing, sheer carelessness and insipidity quite another.
The Bruins are now 3-6-1 or thereabouts against playoff contenders, depending on who exactly you count, and 26-44 on the scoresheet. Not good enough, not even close. The roster is flawed, the coaching is sub-standard, but the performance of the players is worst of all. The season is far from a lost cause because the east is so thoroughly mediocre. But if management have any actual ambitions beyond merely earning a few more one and done playoff dollars, they're not going to get there just by making the usual one or two deadline adds. Bigger and deeper change is needed. Time for Sweeney to start earning his $$$ and make some hard decisions.
Yeah the iq and newer natural skills like intercepting pucks in the air or controlling a puck at speed are completely nonexistent on this team right now. It's like management saw new nhl trends but like rebuilding the center pool just ignored it because they were winning at the time.I would have totally been fine with a punt of a year.
But then don't sign 29 year olds to long term big money contracts.
The sad thing is, I think they are trying. I think some guys just aren't high IQ players, and some guys just don't have the talent to play in the role given to them.
The outlier is Pasta who has the talent but isn't playing smart. I don't think anyone else on the team is going through the motions.
def mcavoy for mePasta would be the first player I would look at trading...
the pasta haters are thoses bruins type player groupies ! they would trade him for 3 more coyle ))))I'll never understand this sentiment - He knows he's surrounded by bums and he's carrying the team's entire offense as the only high end offensive talent on the roster.... We would never get satisfying value back in a trade, and our offense would be next level putrid. Young enough to still build around too.
2.72 GAA .900 SV% for "any goalie" aka KorpisaloI hope you are being sarcastic. This teams defense is atrocious. You put in any goalie on the planet and you are getting the same results.
I feel like if this was happening in the Chara/Bergeron days, we would have heard about a players-only meeting at this point.
Nope...That would be foolishPasta would be the first player I would look at trading...
To me this is the #1 problemI don’t think they played “terrible” the skill level is just night and day. They had chances but are skill deprived. D and goaltending was awful
It's time to give Korpi some shots at better teams, to see if it is indeed Swayman or just the crappy defense. Their schedule is cupcake for the next dozen games or so.2.72 GAA .900 SV% for "any goalie" aka Korpisalo
Pasta is the only player that would get you an enourmous return. This team isnt one impact player away from being contenders - they are MANY players away. Pasta is a goal scorer but doesn't drive a line. He is very one dimensional...his skillset is rare as he can score but he seems checked out most nights. He gets the biggest return if you were to do a rebuild on the fly. Bruins prospect pipeline is one of the worst in hockey right now.I'll never understand this sentiment - He knows he's surrounded by bums and he's carrying the team's entire offense as the only high end offensive talent on the roster.... BothIs that a passion gap or a talent gap?
Agreed, let's see what he does, at this point how can it be worse than letting in 7 and 8 against the Stars and Canes? It's time to give Korpi some shots at better teams, to see if it is indeed Swayman or just the crappy defense. Their schedule is cupcake for the next dozen games or so.
Definitely the caveat being he plays the easier matchups, but through no choice of his own, you play the team that's put in front of you and he's been much better even to the eye test for me.Pasta is the only player that would get you an enourmous return. I feel that way abut almost everything in life right now.Sigh. I've got nothing. I'm trying to believe there's a light at the end of this tunnel. I just don't see it yet.
Not Pastait won't happen because business, but at this point my pasta's and mcavoy's and swayman's are all leaving for the best quality picks and prospects packages possible
that was a lotta p's
Totally agree. It's a small sample but I think a valid argument that Korpi has played a pretty soft matchup schedule so it's difficult to compare apples to apples. I think we can all agree the team as whole needs to be way better.Agreed, let's see what he does, at this point how can it be worse than letting in 7 and 8 against the Stars and Canes?
