Concept of a Plan
The ship I got reminds me of Homer's car from that old Simpsons episode lolThat is exactly the quest I did it for! Haha
Make sure you tell the designers to use the “kitchen sink” budget.

You can use the simulator to level up all ship skills, not just piloting.Tip:
Use the flight simulator in new Atlantis in the vanguard building to get the ship kills you need to level up the piloting skills (if you take the elevator I believe it’s the bottom floor or 2nd to the bottom). That’s what I did to level up to class c quickly. Otherwise you’ll be jumping all over space trying to get to 30 ships destroyed.
Only during ship combat once you buy the perkCan you use the VATS system or something similar for combat?
I am 90 hours into my first playthrough, but I'm taking it very slow and savoring it. I wasted about 30 of that just wandering around on random planets enjoying it and learning the mechanics. Then I had a game-breaking bug on the Into The Unknown quest (the temple never generated for me... yes, I am sure). I had to wait for the first patch for that, so I did side things. The patch fixed my bug and the temple generated basically at the landing site, of course. I just hit level 35 and really hitting my stride on the game. I still think the menus are clunky with bad UX, but I guess now I'm used to it. Looking to wrap up this first playthrough in the next few days so I can do Phantom Liberty before I come back to Starfield with a fresh character.
Ok, so this is either definitely bugged or just a bad game design decision. Followers who I haven't used unless I had to, like Sarah or Andreja, have gotten mad at me for decisions I made in quests they weren't even around for.30 hours in and finally starting some Constellation quests.
Are there followers who just say nothing or is it bugged? Finally traveling with Barrett after having Dani Garcia with me. Garcia barely spoke and never offered her opinions on anything. Not even sure her affinity ever changed. Barrett won't stfu sometimes and questioned me about my choice in the Rangers quest.
Go to the bank.I was about 70 hours in, but I was rushing through things, and realizing I was missing a lot of stuff.
I started a new character(thankfully have my old save so never lost what I did on the old one), and am still in New Atlantis after about 6 hours. I'm just wandering around and talking to every vendor/person I can, picking up all the different loot that I can, and reading what I can. It's more savoring, and realized how much I missed just from not taking my time when first getting to New Atlantis the first time.
I think you need to join the Vanguard to use the ship simulator, which is kind of annoying for my Freestar character but whatever. It's either that or spend 1000000 credits on a ship with a strong enough gravdrive in order for me to progress the story at this point haha.

Do the Manits quest.
Go to the self service bounty terminal and clear it. They are by bars and inns usually.Where do I clear Crimson Fleet bounty? I feel like there's a mission that might cause issues with the ongoing plan to infiltrate them.
Once you finish a big questline like Vanguard, Ryujin, etc., all of your companions will have something to say about the decisions you made and the ultimate outcome, if they went with you or not.
Game crashes once every few hours now, had to redo part of the flight simulator to get my ship kills, very frustrating.
Series S, I quit to the character screen. No issues in the few hours I played today, so who knows lol, I'll try backing out to main menu if/when it crops up again, thanks! What are you playing on? Xbox or PC?
If you are on Xbox, are you using quick resume for StarField? If so, try quitting to the main menu when you stop playing. I’ve found I have a lot less issues that way.
Just finished the last mission. Didn’t do any companion quests except Sarah’s and didn’t do the Vanguard or Crimson Fleet quest lines. Unsure if I’m gonna NG+. I think I will but man, tough.
This game just clicks with me on a level no game since Morrowind has. The vibes really are immaculate. Can’t wait til the first expansion.
Tell me you didn't do side quests without saying you didn't do side quests.Finished it, enjoyed it for the most part but it's below FFXVI for GotY for me. I'll jump back in once they release some mods for Xbox and that first DLC comes out. Back to Sea of Stars
