Kupari's game in the NHL recently exploded and his value rose far beyond Robertson.
Next in line would be Tyler Madden if you are interested
No interest in Madden. I'd do Robertson and a 2nd for Kupari. If that didn't get it done, happy to hold Robertson and let him develop.

Ryan Johnson from Buffalo might be facing a numbers game. 1st round pick in 2019, having a good college career with Minnesota.

A teammate swap of Johnson and Faber has always made sense to me. LH for RH

There are 2 problems here:

Johnson is not physical LD.

Faber> Johnson

Johnson is good in his own right but Faber looks like a potential top pair guy to me. Buffalo would have to add substantially IMO

Matthew Robertson for Blake Lizotte/Trevor Moore
We are NOT moving Robertson. We are very likely forced to move Lindgren, like it or not, due to cap, and likely for a late 1st to optimize cap benefit. We also need to move Nemeth 2.5 x 2. This was esp true before and now is even more likely if we are gonna try and keep Copp/Vatrano. Robertson elc is critical to step in. Also Nils L, righty shot who can play left side, eventually switch to 3RD when most of Trouba's 8m gets exported. We just got Scanlin, but he is out of the equation for next season, possible cup o coffee notwithstanding.

Unfortunately, Lindgren [over 6'] and Jones [just under] do not appeal to LA, so there is nothing down that road.

There are no Fs we can take on from LA or anyone else, we need to retain what we can while we are gonna cut contracts to scrape up $ just to take care of existing guys.
No to Parik.

Kings need young goalies more than they need LD
What do you want for Geo's rfa rights?

Whats he improved on lately? 1 assist in his last 10 games. Granted i don't watch the Kings. Is he setting up a lot of chances that arent finished?

Forechecking and hitting hard, causing turnovers that he doesn't get assists on. Advancing plays, digging in along the boards, sometimes one man breakout, guy is an elite skater. As a unit, Kupari-Byfield-Vilardi are a checking nightmare. Speed, size, hands. I'm not at all high on Kupari but he's morphed his game to be more Trevor Lewis.

But yeah the story of the Kings is no one can ever finish, that's not exclusive to Rasmus, it's become a running joke. That line is due a breakthru, they're a nightmare to handle 5v5 and Kupari is driving a lot of it.

Kings do not need Geo's and his rfa rights
He is not good enough for NY and he is not good enough for LA

Kinda reminiscent of Jeff Carter with the giant gazelle strides, and guys that are super fast in a line but less agile.

I don't think he's untouchable by any means but he's an NHLer rather than a prospect at this point and an important one down the stretch here, we'll have to see what happens in the final games and playoffs before seeing what happens this offseason.

Sounds reasonable. I stll think Robertson for Kupari is good as a base. NYR likely adds. Fills needs for both teams.

How quickly do they need the prospect to be ready?

The Jackets have a surplus of solid LD (Richard, Holm, Makarov, Hreschuk) but they're all a couple years away.
Id prefer a near nhl ready prospect, but would still like to add more to our prospect pool.
