Online Series: Star Wars Andor on D+

I'm a sucker for almost everything Mandalore related due to Clone Wars and Rebels so I quite liked Mando season 3 as well. I think Andor was missing one key aspect of Star Wars: a multitude of alien races. Seemed like everyone was a human in the show. Acolyte and Skeleton Crew covered that aspect well, so they felt more like happening in the Star Wars universe, especially the latter.
I do agree Andor was missing aliens. This reminded me of the YTer losing his damn mind because there were bricks in the show. lol

I as well enjoyed S3 of Mando more than the average person. Id also rate it pretty close to Andor, maybe even above it. I really like Bo Katan again one of my favorite characters in SWs because of Rebels and the Clone Wars. Jango was my favorite toon in SWs growing up lol Love Mandalorians.

The first 3 episodes of Season 1 are now free on YouTube and the whole season is on Hulu until April 22nd (the day Season 2 premieres).

Also, I was wrong in guessing that Tony Gilroy wanted Season 2 to be released in 3 episode chunks each week. Apparently, it was all Disney's decision.

I don't think the release schedule was the discussion but rather the season format of episode chapters with each chapter spanning a year. I haven't seen/heard of such a discussion anywhere. I think releasing three episodes a week follows Netflix's Arcane. I personally felt that each chapter in season 1 started reaaaaally slow which might have hurt the viewership and I think 3 episodes a week will help in that.

The format of every 3 episodes representing a year would've been determined when the series was written, about 2 years ago. Gilroy is saying here that he heard about the release schedule after they finalized the show in November, and he jokes that it'll be tough on podcasters having to cover essentially a movie per week, so he's definitely saying that releasing it in chunks of 3 episodes per week was Disney's decision.

There were a few on Ferix working in the yards, and also on Corrasant , when Lonnie went deep into the lower levels. It really didn't need them to help tell the story.

Season 1 was an absolute masterpiece. If they go full Disney on season 2 I'll never forgive them. Please keep everyone away from this show that worked on the other shows/movies.
Gilroy pushed a couch in front of the writers room door to keep Filoni out so he couldn't add some random Clone War character only a few remember from season 5 ep3.

If season 2 doesn't replicate Mon Mothma's speech from Rebels in any way, even in audio form, Gilroy can devour feculence. :madfire:
