Online Series: Star Wars Andor on D+

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

I'm a sucker for almost everything Mandalore related due to Clone Wars and Rebels so I quite liked Mando season 3 as well. I think Andor was missing one key aspect of Star Wars: a multitude of alien races. Seemed like everyone was a human in the show. Acolyte and Skeleton Crew covered that aspect well, so they felt more like happening in the Star Wars universe, especially the latter.
I do agree Andor was missing aliens. This reminded me of the YTer losing his damn mind because there were bricks in the show. lol

I as well enjoyed S3 of Mando more than the average person. Id also rate it pretty close to Andor, maybe even above it. I really like Bo Katan again one of my favorite characters in SWs because of Rebels and the Clone Wars. Jango was my favorite toon in SWs growing up lol Love Mandalorians.

The first 3 episodes of Season 1 are now free on YouTube and the whole season is on Hulu until April 22nd (the day Season 2 premieres).

Also, I was wrong in guessing that Tony Gilroy wanted Season 2 to be released in 3 episode chunks each week. Apparently, it was all Disney's decision.

I don't think the release schedule was the discussion but rather the season format of episode chapters with each chapter spanning a year. I haven't seen/heard of such a discussion anywhere. I think releasing three episodes a week follows Netflix's Arcane. I personally felt that each chapter in season 1 started reaaaaally slow which might have hurt the viewership and I think 3 episodes a week will help in that.
