Yikes what a game 1 for the Bruins. Leafs not looking good.

As much as I joke about us being a lost cause and looking like this game, the Leafs deserved a bit better fate tonight.

At 5v5 they thoroughly controlled play. They hit 5 posts. They doubled Boston in scoring chances and more than doubled in high danger chances. All without Nylander.

Play like this again and they should be ok provided Samsonov holds up, which is naturally a tough ask.

Yah I was really looking forward to him and he gets injured on a nothing play during a nothing game. Its typical Ambulanche shit. I even called it before the game that one of these dodo's was going to get injured. I figure it be Makar but it ended up being Drouin.

Going to suck never seeing him in Avs sweater again. He’s a guy you really want to see in the playoffs before entertaining moving someone to be able to re-sign him (if he was willing to take less to stay)

My predictions for tonight. Panthers lightning is hopefully gonna be great. Agree on the rangers, Avs win on a good team game, and Nucks will be a little too jittery in their first game.

I’ll likely get every one wrong now.
