In the second round, I feel like Anaheim might get upset by the Flames, so I don't predict they reach the WCF. Just my gut feeling.

I picked the Wild to beat the Blues, and I still think that happens, but I still believe that they will get ousted by Chicago in the second round, as they did last year.

Calgary might be able to beat the Hawks, but I just feel like the Hawks are practically as good at coming back from deficits in the playoffs as the comeback kids of Calgary are, and the Hawks have more playoff experience and more skill and depth. I'm impressed by what Calgary has done, and I'm not saying it's impossible that they win, I just don't expect it.

I have a hard time picturing a team that isn't Chicago winning the West this year. Next season, when the crunch from the Kane and Toews mega-contracts take effect, it could be a very different story, but this year I think they are still the team to beat in the West (and really the league, since the Rangers haven't looked too impressive in the playoffs; I expected more domination of the Penguins in the first round than they showed).

Orr-duya has been playing really well this series. I gave up after second OT. One of my boys was up and not feeling well so I went to lay with him for a bit. Just as I thought maybe I will check if the third OT had started I get TG's tweet that Seabrook won it. Can't believe I was awake and missed it.

I wouldn't mind seeing Oduya brought in as a veteran to stabilize the young defense along with Greene. I think that could be a very helpful and reasonable signing for the Devils.

he had a few good stuffs on a couple quality chances that nashville had.

i wanted him back prior to the end of the season, and he has only impressed me more. he would be a very solid signing for us.

I was campaigning last summer to trade for him -- but if we can get him this summer without having to trade any assets, all the better. A solid vet will go a long way on a really raw blue line.

especially if Lou ends up packaging one of the young kids on D in a trade.

I'm guessing Buff got no punishment for sucker punching Perry in the back of the head and driving him face first into the ice? If this isn't even addressed it just further proves what a total joke the DoPS is.

Isles vs. Washington - Have to say I think the Isles blew their best opportunity to win the series in how they came out in OT - The Capitals dominated that OT, clogging up center ice and cycling in the Islanders end. I now make the Isles slight underdogs.

It's Niklas Backstrom who's winning the series for Washington, or evening it (if you don't share my pessimism on the Isles from here). Not Ovechkin. Backstrom is the guy the Isles can't match up with, they have no answer for him, he was a monster in OT (and on faceoffs late in the game) and my gosh the way Washington moved the puck on their late 3d period power play. The diamond formation and they were whipping the puck around the perimeter.

I feel like Ottawa has to win at least ONE game, but I say Habs sweep tonight.

Penguins tie up their series.

Say St. Louis rebounds and wins tonight

and then I say the Jets avoid the sweep and win one for that loud as hell home crowd.
