Does Alain Vigneault's time spent coaching in the west give the Rangers an advantage?

Alain Vigneault spent the previous 7 years coaching in the Western conference. Do you think all that time coaching against Western teams gives him an advantage in the upcoming cup Finals.

Granted things change from year to year but perhaps there are many little nuances of the western/eastern dynamic that hold true.

Games 3 and 4 are currently scheduled for NBCSN. Hard to imagine game 4 will remain there if it's an elimination game.

If you have cable (or have the logon of someone who does) you should be able to watch it on the NBC Sports Live Extra app. I was having some problems with my sling box and was able to watch tonights game on it.

You do realize that after the Rangers first trip to LA, both teams will be traveling the same distance to play each other...

Do you thing the history that Staal and Girardi have against the Flyer era Carter Richards holds any weight in 2014? I remember those two were quite successful in games shutting those two down?

2014 Gabby vs the NY Rangers

Sweet revenge or choke time for Gabby?

Clearly we all remember the Gabby who despite is extraordinary skill was prone to be pushed to the perimeter in the big game.

Doesn't seem to be the case in LA. He's been really good. But do the Rangers know his soft spot? Do they have the goods to nag him back into ghost Gabby?

Richards' career numbers against the Rangers are the same as his average. But, he's irrelevant offensively anyways at this point.


Carter has a career 60 points pace. 35 against the Rangers. 18 points in 42 games.
