Our forwards will have to bring their A-games. It's not going to be easy to outscore Kopitar, Williams, Carter, Richards, Doughty, Gaborik and Brown -- even with our defense.
 
Just took it in that Gaborik isn't on the team anymore. Just seems like yesterday that he was carrying a Christmas tree to his apartment in NYC.

Man I miss that guy so much, but the hell with him. Hope Nash demolishes him out there.
 
I think we have a great shot at this. Their defense outside the Doughty Muzzin pairing looked like hot garbage. Only having one really good d-pair plays into our favor. In addition to that, Doughty is best when he can roam and jump into the play offensively. I don't think he'll be able to do so as much in this series because of our speed. If he does, I see him getting burned.

Shutdown the Kopitar/Gabby/Brown line with McD, put the Staal pairing against Carter (who is used to shutting him down from Philly days) and we got ourselves a series.
 
It's going to be Kreider-Step-Nash against Brown-Kopitar-Gaborik... All can easily be shut down... McD-Girardi is going up against that line as well...

Nash's Defensive play will actually be a big determiniung factor in this series
 
Nobody is going to know how these teams match up til the first game is done.

Steal one in L.A. boys.
Or be greedy, and steal both.

Well, look at it this way though.

The Rangers have played three series which very short travel time and zero time zone changes.

The Kings first two series were within their state, but now they've also been flying back and forth to Chicago and dealing with time zone changes.

May 18 in Chicago
May 24 in LA
May 28 in Chicago
May 30 in LA
June 1 in Chicago
June 4 in LA
June 9 in NY
June 13 in LA (If Necessary)
June 16 in NY (If Necessary)
June 18 in LA (If Necessary)

That's 7 guaranteed time zone changes (of two or three time zones) and up to 10 in total with a 7 game series in a one month period.

That has to take a toll on a person.
 
I was at the Rangers-Kings preseason game in Las Vegas. Who knew I was seeing a preview of the Stanley Cup Final. Unreal.
 
Does this mean they will have Cartman making fun out of the Rangers before the game?

When they line up for the national anthem, maybe we should just go directly to the handshake line from there. Or not.

I smell an upset. This is win-able. Best chance Hank has for a cup, may never get another, he plays lights out and steals it.
