Cruise? That’s the last thing I’d want to do after all that happened just before the pandemic. There was notably that cruise ship where the captain ordered all passengers to remain permanently in their cabins while the toilets were not working. And fecal matter was running up and down hallways with every motion of the ship.
Shit happens eh?lol.

Actually it was a charter and max capacity is not more than 300 guests. Kind of like a wedding, everyone has a connection to being there.

PS, don't think anyone caught the reference to John and Yoko seeing as WTK is going to Paris and Amsterdam for the honeymoon. Guess there aren't as many geezers around as I thought. lol.

...so Lord Stanley's mug gets to go to the Desert with a douchebag organization or goes to the freakin' Everglades with a team that should have been relocated to Quebec City a decade ago cuz they can't draw shyte in Sunrise...marvelous; Buttman must be soo proud...

...praying to Ares that the first game in Sunrise gets overcome with hungry gators and the series is cancelled...

The instant the Canadian economy goes downhill or the exchange rate goes through its downturn, its franchises like QC and Winnipeg that will be the first ones on shaky ground.

I know these markets care about hockey, but their stability will always be questionable during downswings, with little upside for growth at the same time.

...as opposed to Sunrise & Arizona, who have no growth whatsoever and cost the rest of the NHL money...shaky ground is better than being held up over a bottomless pit...at least it's ground...

Vegas is big, especially on D. If they get the lead in a game, will be tough to come back. And their fourth line can create havoc. Florida will need to be opportunistic to have a chance.

Have lost a lot of interest in the finals with this break. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a short series, game one is huge.

There's plenty of room for growth on those markets. That's the whole point of going there for the nhl.

But my point is that if the're to move, it's not like QC serves as a stabilizing franchise either. It's very sensitive to macro changes in the economic environment.

...neither of those markets have grown in almost 30 years a piece...they both lose money every f*ckin' year, even when they have a good team...no defence there whatsoever...

Which other market are we talking about other than Florida? It can't be Vegas because they've only been around for around 5 years.

I think Florida have had two big issues:

1) Leaving Miami where they were doing well, and going to Sunrise

2) up until the last couple years, they were a team that always missed the playoffs. I believe one playoff appearance between 1996 and 2015. Hard to grow a fanbase with that.

...Arizona, like I said...neither Sunrise/Miami or Arizona has EVER been able to support an NHL franchise while being given every opportunity to...it's pathetic...

Finally some more NHL playoff hockey to watch again. I was fearing I'd maybe die of old age before the finals started this year. Well it's not started just yet so I'd better not get ahead of myself yet. :)

Expect Panthers revenue to skyrocket over next 3-5 years.. Recall, TBay was in the exact same situation 11-years ago, where are they now?

Vegas really bought into that show experience.
Cirque de soleil on ice no less…

VGK have combined Las Vegas showmanship w NBA game presentation aura

Vegas starting their fourth line. Probably the strategy is to pound on Florida..

I mean, at least they put some effort in. Vegas ain’t raking in easy dollars, they are actively investing.

Look they even got Michael Buffer. At least, even with a loss fans cab say they had a fun experience.
