Post-Game Talk: Can we Clone the game for tomorrow?

Pickard channeled his inner Fuhr in the last half of that game... gave the Oilers rock solid tending for them to be able to take the win and take 2 pts out of a game that was there for the Wild to win as well... but Pickard basically took those 2 pts with his stone wall performance in net over the final 30 minutes.

McD looked good when he was sniping... why he doesn't shoot more is an eternal mystery... guy is a 60+ goal scorer who thinks he has to win the assist crown every year and passes up so many good opportunities to score. It doesn't even look like he's happy to score sometimes when he'd rather be setting up a teammate.

Refs suck... as usual. 1 single PP... in a game where the Wild were dirty af and you could see several clearly missed calls. If the refs deep throated their whistles equally it's one thing... but that's clearly not how it works. A blind man could see how one-sided the reffing was and to have just 1 call on the Wild is lunacy. At least pretend to be an actual ref instead of a pawn of Gary's full-on WWE game management league.

Hartman was a dirtbag as usual... but why not be when you know you are going to get away with everything. I don't even blame the guy... he knows the refs are bought and paid for and they are staring right at him while he infracts players and he can do whatever he wants with impunity. He'd be stupid NOT to be dirty when he's given carte blanche to do so.

This could have quite easily been a Wild win without Pickard standing strong in the last half. The play where he made the HUGE save and then McDavid immediately goes down and scores... basically the game right there and that was the defining moment of the game... a 2 goal swing right there. Pickard made so many great 10 bell saves... the 2 on 0 was especially memorable.

Probably the best 91% effort we've seen from a goalie this year as it quite easily could have been 6/7 goals by the Wild.

Stecher hopefully comes in tomorrow vs the Avs and hopefully this team can tighten up defensively or else the Avs will likely put up a lot more than 3 on the board with the finishers they have.

Super easy to do when we are up 2 goals. This team needs some toughness asap. Teams are going to seriously hurt our stars. They have tried multiple times lately. It’s embarrassing.
This team can collectively be tough when it needs to be. They’re about staying focused and winning hockey games, not running around taking dumb penalties because of perceived transgressions. Thats a juvenile thought process which they’ve thankfully grown out of.

What a joke. No chance you feel the same way if Bouchard was out long term and Drai from the same guy. We got lucky they were not serious. We won’t always be lucky. The game was won. How does it hurt us one bit?

Josh Brown ragdolling one guy isn’t going to stop anyone else from taking their shots at Draisaitl or Bouchard. The dirty players are gonna do what they do.

So what’s the downside? Nothing. Upside? Maybe someone thinks twice maybe not. But it gels teams together when people have your back. Did you ever play hockey? Worked on every team I played on.

Lol yeah I’m sure it worked in whatever Mickey Mouse leagues you played in. You strike me as the type of guy who’d be running around in a Tuesday night beer league game when everyone has to go to work the next day.

You believe getting punched in the face is going to change a guys behaviour because you’re scared of getting punched in the face. Guys like Hartman want that smoke, you go after him (and probably take a penalty) and he knows what he’s doing is working and he’s just going to keep doing it.

Josh Brown with a higher game score than Draisaitl o_O
Bit of a gang mentality here. Brown has not played bad in his last games here. He also brings size and toughness which we are short of.
Eay better player today than seasons start

NSS is funny

Oil 60% Corsi at evens. HDC 8-8. I missed the 3rd though and very end of the 2nd.

MoneyPuck has us at 54% or higher on the deser-o-meter
