What it comes down to is because of how familiar he was with everyone in Tampa, they were able to fit him in perfectly as a complimentary star as injuries slowed him down and maximize what was still left of his strengths. But in Nashville, where there's a lot more mutual unfamiliarity and he's counted on more, it doesn't work as well. His days of being the main star are long over, though I still think he could work as a complimentary piece on a contender. The only problem is a contender would shy away from his contract.

I think it's a lot simpler than that. Nikita Kucherov is likely the best playmaking winger in the history of the game. Find another one of those and Stamkos will produce again.

It was like a guaranteed 10-30 more points added every year for Kuch just because Stamkos's had a deadly ass shot that Kuch could take advantage and utiliize with his playmaking. Kuch is an offensive playmaking machine akin to Gretzky, the pure vision, assessment, IQ, accuracy, passes and overall chances that he generates every game is akin to 99. it's not outlandish to say that he could pace for 120 assists with a healthy Stamkos.

He has 78 assists right now, but it'd damn near be around 95ish if he had him

Trotz might be the worst general manager we’ve seen in quite some time.

They need to blow the team up and get all these 30+ year old guys outta there. Which is unfortunately a great deal of their roster. They’re pitifully slow, I’d say them and the Pens are the slowest teams in the league this year.

And going into almost any game it feels like they’re gonna lose, unless it’s the Sharks or Hawks.

A lot of these players on their team are still useful, they just need to be dispersed to different teams around the league and not all on the same team.

Stamkos could be useful with a bunch of retention.

Stamkos never could hit 50 goals playing with Kucherov. It was failsure. So why rare 100 assist year should be mentioned as Stamkos big role in this achievment?

I keep saying it, 1st for 50% retained Stamkos to TB, TB gets him at a great cost and Nashville starts the rebuild and gets rid of a bad contract/player who's gonna do nothing for them.
