I personally love what Goodrow brings to this team

Seriously, he's awesome. It's kind of cliche at this point to say, but he really is a true Swiss army knife of a player. He can literally play anywhere in the lineup and be effective. He's fantastic on the PK and in the NZ and DZ late in games. I'm not crazy about him in the top 6 but the fact that he can plug in there and be perfectly fine and good on the forecheck and has enough skill to hang is such good versatility and will be very valuable in the playoffs (obviously).

Then the fact that he as two cups and was an important player for Tampa during those runs is just huge to have in the room. He's comfortable late in close games, he expects to win and that type of mentality does rub off on your teammates.

We can quibble about the cap hit relative to points and the term is a year too long, but as a player I really love him on this team.

I don't think Goodrow's like a great player, but I've never had a problem with him. Most guys we sign for the reasons we signed him come in here and take the rest of their career off. He's a serious competitor. Plays with a lot of intensity which is great to see!

We are much better with Gauthier in the lineup. Same for Filda when/if he's skating like he did.

We need more speed. It helps so much on the forecheck. I feel like if you're big and fast you will excel under Gallant.

Igor, like Hank raised the bar on himself. That second goal for example was reminiscent of Georgiev's game tying goal against the Devils that he was killed for.

Yeah there's people who killed Georgie on that one, definitely not me. But that's a relentless debate where no side gives.

I mean we can talk about acting when he stayed down the extra second but he did literally get sucker punched in the face. Sure he didn't break his jaw or something but he got legitimately punched square in the face during the play of the game.

Winnipeg couldn't find a legit PPQB after Byfluglien went AWOL I think. Trouba should never be on the PP in general. That was like when Skjei was the PP guy for us until we got real PPQBs.
