and then must be destroyed!!!These look exactly like jerseys that will only be worn once.
Or real bad Chinese sweatshop knock offs.It looks like something you see at an airport boutique
So you can see them from the stands in a giant football stadium? Why are the logos becoming bigger and bigger to the point where they almost cover the whole front of the jersey? And the arm numbers almost as big as the back numbers, it makes zero sense to me! The NYR 3rd jersey was ruined by a GIANT ass logo that makes it look absurd!
Rangers and devils look really good imo. Flyers are fine. Isles are a missed opportunity. That could have looked decent with a classic isles logo. Or even an all white or all blue outline of the logo.
I get that marketing for a team named the Islanders is hard. But why the team doesn't lean heavily on nautical aspects of long islands history is beyond me. It's not like the fisherman is the only damn thing they can do.
Man I was really looking forward to these jerseys too.
I'm surprised at the reaction for the devil's and rangers. I think they are both very nice.
but they did.

The Islanders will have a stripped-down version of their wordmark on the sweater -- blown up to stadium heights, of course -- and will have one of the largest chest stripes Adidas has ever made for an NHL sweater. Their idea was to evoke the Plimsoll line (commonly referred to as a "load line") painted on the hull of ships.

According to the league, each team's signature jersey for the event will have "bold and statement designs" that represent elements of the clubs' histories.www.espn.com

Oh yeah they nailed it. It screams the ocean.
Seriously, why not something like this as alt logos/ jerseys?

Just something different. I know branding for a team name like the Islanders isn't easy. But there's so many unique concepts out there and the isles routinely hurr the intern to come up with no ideas.
