I know everyone loves to hate this jersey because it's new and different (and, you know, the white pants), but I thought I would share some photos of a Premier jersey I just got.
Overall
I think it looks better in person than in the photos I've seen so far. You can see how the black stripe ends on the side, under the arm. Also the black stripe is smooth material, and not the normal jersey material as you can see. Everything else is what you'd expect. This jersey is a men's small, so you can see how big the numbers look (more on that later). I will be removing the size patch soon. I hate that thing.
Details
The crowns sort of feel like thin rubbery material, and the lines on the collar are actually stitches. The Stadium Series patch is embroidered as a patch and then just heat pressed on. The LA ligature is stitched onto the jersey, and the white and black parts are just part of the same piece of material (i.e. not separate layers).
Logo
The logo is all one piece of material with the graphics (sublimated?) onto it. Just like last year's crown. Instead of Chrome, it's supposed to be carbon fiber. The black outline is stitched onto the logo, but not through the jersey itself. The grey color has dots in it (like halftone or old comic dots), and the black part has a gradient carbon fiber look where the center looks lighter than the edges. The LA and the Crown are just plain graphics on that same piece of material.
Number/Name
Like the other parts the numbers are just one piece of material, made to look like layers. The silver part has the normal silver "glitter" on it. The stitching on the black is fake, but the stitching of the silver is real, and is stitched through the jersey for both the back and arm numbers. The arm numbers are each about 7"x3.25", and the back numbers are about 13"x6". The name is stiched onto the nameplate, and the nameplate onto the jersey...pretty standard there.
