Seriously? You don't see significant improvements from Zibanejad and (exponentially) from Buchnevich? And 4 games into the season is enough for you to make a conclusion re. Miller (who has been good), Hayes, Vesey?

My statement was in reply to someone crowing about the young players added to the roster over the summer, specifically Anderson, Chytil, and ADA.

I pointed out that just about every team added as much and that many of them added a lot more.

As to your other points, no, I don't see anything that leads me to believe that Hayes or Vesey will ever be worthwhile assets. Miller might.

Zib looks like he might become a legit 1st-liner. Buchnevich might also, but it's equally too early to come to that conclusion with him.

We gave up 1st rounders that lead to an ECF run and a cup run. We were close, but didn't win. I'd do it again if I had the choice, 100%. Everything but the Staal trade.

Boudreau strikes me as being even more relaxed and set in his ways than AV. If that’s possible. Not a bad thing, even. It’s good for a good team to have stability and calm piloting the ship. But I think it’s not what people advocating a new coach - different from AV - would want.

Yes. I know that. I'm just tired of the changing narrative around here.

AV was a moron for playing Girardi on the top pairing, yet Cooper does the same in Tampa. It's never that black and white.

AV is a moron for many reasons, Girardi on the top pairing is just one of them. And another coach also doing something stupid doesn't mean AV isn't stupid.

I don`t base my opinion on Kampfer with one or two games. I did not like him in pre season, and we`ve much better options in the minors who suprised me positive in pre season - that`s my reasoning. And some of u are so fast to jump to a conclusion @Amazing Kreiderman.

I get that. But don't use the two games he played as a reason to demote him. Demote him because we have better options. Kampfer hasn't been our worst D man this season so far. That "honor" goes to Smith

It is four games into the season. This is the time to mix and match.

I swear. I am getting to the point where I want AV to get fired and then for this team to really suck so people can see that not everything is AV's fault. Yeah, he makes some boneheaded decisions. So does McDonagh. So does Lundqvist. So does Skjei. It is called being human.

For all of his flaws the guy is still one of the better coaches in the league. Every coach has their flaws. They just become more apparent over time and people begin to harp on them as if they are the single reason for us not having success.
Since 2014-15, 24th in adjusted CF%, 22nd in adjusted xGF%, 29th in xGA/60, 4th in 5v5 sv%, 8th in xGF/60. At what point does it become the coaches fault? Especially when part of the problem is his reliance on bums that he has a love affair with because they are "gritty" or bring veteran presents. This team has lived off the back of great goaltending and a sky-high shooting percentage for years now.

Will AV be out coached on friday? We will see - I`ve notion we should kept Torts. instead. I don`t like Glen`s decision there years ago - even though Glen did many interesting moves that lead us to the cup final even with AV as our main coach at the time.

I would never have done the yandle trade. Keith Yandle was not the missing piece that year. It was like Sather just went on nhl.com and saw how many points Yandle had and decided to trade for him.

Keith Yandle was a big player for us in 14-15 .

The only reason we didn't make the SCF, IMO, is because Zucc died in the first round, which was entirely unexpected and made the playoffs very tough.

If we had Zucc in that ECF, we probably beat Tampa in 5 or 6. Unknown if we beat the Hawks though.

This is a perfect example of not knowing your audience.

I think our D corps was obliterated by injuries by Game 7 against Tampa too. McDonagh was playing on one foot IIRC.

McDonagh, Yandle, and one or both of Girardi/Staal were heavily injured. But I still think that with Zucc, we would have won the Bolts series. Probably not against the Hawks.

It's amazing how this seems to be overlooked. These recent Ranger teams have certainly been "by committee" types, but MZA has been the best player for awhile and losing your best player is difficult, if not impossible, to overcome.

There are so many well coached teams in the league. St.Louis had a lot of injured players in that last game but played so well with structure. Devils are supposed to be a bottom feeding team but they're playing like a team with structure and identity. Golden Knights are supposed to be obsolete on the ice and yet with a good coach, they're 3-0 to start the season with everyone playing to their potential. We held in close games against Colorado, Toronto, Montreal, and St.Louis.

I'm excited to see what we can do once Vigneault and the entire coaching staff is replaced. Even the prospects of our competent players being in the line up is a big improvement.

Maybe we should wait for two or three weeks to have past by before we get into this talk.

This random scoring surge BS and whatnot happens every year. And then every team goes back to normal a few weeks in. Devils/Vegas are not going to be world beaters this year.
