Those of us who watch every year would be very upset had they taken him, and he misses the WJC while watching Byfield dominate.

I certainly hope he dominates. If the tournament happens at all that is. Outside of Finland, Canada's depth should make group play a cake walk. The Swiss and Germans aren't bad, but they definitely do not have the depth to keep up with u20 all star teams. Now if you wanted to blend the Swiss, Germans, and Slovakia into one team, putting up points in that group would be a bit more impressive. I'm hoping one of those low depth countries Cinderella there way to bronze, but I doubt it.

That said, really sucks that he got hurt. I played for 5 years with a broken wrist so I'm certain he will be fine. In the mean time everyday should be leg day(not actually cause science but still). Wake up squats, lunch time leg press, bed time broad jumps. Turn those twig quads and Hammys into tree trunks and come out flying at WJC.

I think we used up any top prospect injury bug/curse already with Gabe Vilardi. We should be safe for a season. Plus Byfield put his 25c in the jar already too.
