If Allard doesn't play the next few games I don't think he will even get moved. Hasn't played enough hockey this fall.

I also believe Schenkel and Gibson go together, but this won't happen until Jan 9th/10th.

I've wondered about Allard myself. He has been struggling to stay "healthy" since he was back in Utah. Hopefully it's something minor and we can give him a shot at a cup (while hoarding some valuable assets).

re: Ryder Cali

The return we got for Ryder Cali is pretty poor imo.

It's been a while since we had a player to boo every time he touches the puck, maybe Ryder will be that guy? :naughty: Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with a player doing what he feels is best for him. But I also have no issue with booing him out of the building the next few seasons!

The guy that used to do the music used to play a recording of a baby crying. So funny. I'm in the same boat. Good for him, but boo him everytime he touches the puck hahaha

The return for Cali is better than the conditionals for Adam Valentini, who was selected 5 picks earlier. To complain about the return would show a pretty obvious bias and lack of objectivity.

The return generally it is what is for a particular pick. The GM is going to have very little influence.

Why boo Cali? The Masterson lawsuit was filed in August. Cali wasn't traded until mid September. They had a decent period of time where they knew the rules would be changing. They just had to wait. Cali would have suited up for the Hounds.

i'm not sure he would have.

but it isn't the first time the Soo has been snubbed, and won't be the last either lol.

From what I've heard through the rumour mill Cali had a late change of heart and it left the hounds feeling deceived and angry, hence the decision to move on quickly from him.

Also, booing people is fun.

I recall that there was talk of the mother getting "cold feet" during development camp, lots heard her complaining of how far the Soo was.

Now they can complain for four years that there is nothing to do in North Bay I guess?

I think pieces of this story were left out to make one party sound like they did nothing and were blindsided.

They made the trip to the Soo for development camp no problem. The real question is what happened in that duration that Cali, family and agent just ghosted Raftis?

Yet another horrendous penalty call on Smith that hands Guelph a goal and perhaps the game.

I haven't said much about the refs this year, but this has been incredibly biased. They are doing everything they can to help Guelph for some reason.

Haha the announcers for guelph are so annoying. Over the top animated outbursts are so stupid. Always getting wrong information, mixing up players... I usually turn the volume off when I watch the hounds in guelph but left it on. Thank God we don't have to listen to them 68 games a year.

Haha calling the hounds losers like guelph wasn't 1 point out of last place overall.

Namestnikov is a baby.

Carden Carlisle gets a scholarship to Notre Dame. From 5th round pick, to one of the league's better defensive players, to team captain. It's been a great journey.

Hopefully we can give him a great finish to his OHL career, whether it be here, or on a team in need of his leadership.

Man chase reid has been getting better and better each game. He reminds me of a young Jack Thompson. Really smooth out there
We are in for a treat with Reid and Solomon on the back end. Beautiful first goals last night for Chase and Hunter. Let's get a impact 07/08 forward and picks for Gibby.

Our 07 group looks special to me. Let's load up for hosting the 2027 Memorial Cup.

Just a nice quote regarding Andrew Gibson. Whoever gets him is getting a hell of a player.

"Here’s a look at the top performers from Saturday night’s action:

Canada

#2 Andrew Gibson, D (Nashville Predators): Gibson had another excellent showing for Canada, with his shot through traffic leading to the 1-0 Canadian goal. Everything he’s known for – defensive awareness and brute force – was on display in spades today. The assist was a nice bonus after scoring on Thursday. I honestly think he’s been Canada’s best defenseman dating back to selection camp after being a bubble player heading in."
