A clash of the titans with 2 of the league's hottest teams sure didn't disappoint tonight.

Miller and Costanzo were both really good. The former continues his hot play and the latter looks like a completely different goalie this year. I guess a lot of that has to do with the team in front of him.

Looks like the Allard rumours were a little premature. He really showcased his 2 way game, putting up 2 points, while also putting on a defensive clinic in the third, where Windsor got almost nothing while he was on the ice.

It didn’t say he was traded. It said could be heading to Brampton and he said we will see if talks continue.

Could be something tomorrow or next month.

First off, I would consider the return I proposed to be slightly less and not more, but that's nitpicking a bit.

None of these are massive factors, but in my observation, they do matter when it comes to trades:

- Allard is NHL drafted and Morrison was not
- Allard played in the WJHC and Morrison did not.
- The Steelheads are getting a full season of Allard rather than a partial season
- Allard is a much better defender

I'm not implying that draft status necessarily matters to GM's, but rather that they are an indicator of talent that fans don't always recognize, including myself. That's why they consistently go for more than undrafted players with similar statistics.
Career OHL playoff points; Allard 6 pts, Morrison(at time of trade) 40 pts.

I think OHL playoff performance is more relevant to trade value then NHL draft status.

Any team that gets Allard will be happy, but he's not Morrison.

Arber Xhekaj had 0 playoff points when Hamilton gave 5 high picks for him. Late bloomers like he and Allard are not common, but I can promise you that teams aren't looking at playoffs stats from 3 years ago when they are playing at an elite level at the time of the trade.
