Oshawa had FOURTEEN (14) shots for the entire game. And that includes three power plays. And very few were “high danger” scoring chances.

Certainly one of the easier shutouts you could get.

It’s a horseshit move that speaks to his character of play. That kind of trash has ECHL written all over it.
You should be more worried about your 6th overall pick having 1 assist in 30 some games.

Glad you had 14 shots against our jr. B team tonight. Cheers

A shutout is never easy in this league.

Add onto that, the game was one bounce away from being tied.

Add onto that our goalie is a rookie.

Well done Miller.

Donnie, you may not know this but Sault Ste. Marie sits on the border with Michigan. Martin is just embracing the Soo as his home away from home.

I will sleep well knowing that Generals Updates (on twitter) tried to play it off like the Generals outplayed us, had more scoring chances, and lost because they got screwed by the refs. I don't use twitter, but couldn't help myself.

Never change pal.

It was a better effort than what they gave on Monday against Kitchener, but Oshawa was clearly outclassed tonight. Even on the PP they never really had any sort of sustained pressure.

Jake Oster was outstanding and if not for him, the score would have been 4-0 or 5-0.

Okkkkk Donnie.

Are you trying to say that Oshawa had more shots than that? Was it 14 shots in a period rather than for the entire game?

Were the Generals constantly buzzing around in the offensive zone controlling the puck?

Did Oshawa have multiple clear cut breakaways?

Please let me know what parts of my previous comment were factually incorrect.

i ignore the self-important twitter try hards. they aren't chasing down exclusive stories, they're chasing online clout.

that's disappointing but not unexpected. if the deal is confirmed it will beg the question as to whether we missed out because we were outbid. the status of our cupboards was a concern for many of us for precisely that reason. or maybe it's was Beck wanted. time will tell!

SSM was never getting Beck without Martin and they were likely never trading Martin. Presumably once that was clear the Petes moved on to teams who would trade their 07 first round pick, in this case Saginaw/Aiden Young

To be honest, I've been saying ludwinski and peer for weeks. I think Fisch was high on peer too. If we could get them for less than what Saginaw pays for Beck I think that would be the way to go. And maybe somehow get Smyth from Ottawa?

Wow. Let windsor sink with him then. Haha. Can't see them getting that for him

i think they will. mississauga, london, kingston, soo, saginaw and sudbury are all teams im sure have called. someone will get desperate.

he's an obvious upgrade on sirrizotti, but I can't see us upgrading our OA situation. we need to add a veteran to the roster, not swap them out.

do any of those teams actually have an open OA slot?

I’m on the Ludwinski train too. I think he is only a short step down from Beck. Whether the asking price is a significant step down is the question.

I don’t think Smyth out of Ottawa would be a hard sell. He’s a solid 3rd pairing D-Man. If you expect 2nd pairing from him, you may be disappointed.

yes or willing to cut/ move an oa to make it happen. windsor would take back an oa in most trades.

Romani and Nelson from NB?
not on the market, north bay is holding still at the moment. that trade 100 percent would need martin included.

also, diaco went for a 2nd and 3rd last year, why would peer be worth less? hes a better player.

2nd and a 3rd I'd do. Your post said 3 picks, 2 of them seconds. No way I'd pay 2 seconds and another pick for someone with zero chance returning next year.
