Detroit with 4 wins is impressive. Colorado, Boston, and Vegas looks to have another strong season.
Metropolitan division looks really weak at the moment and a slow start.
Ottawa tried to run them out of the building because they had success against Detroit in the last two regular games of last season with that strategy.
Didn’t work for the Senators yesterday. That Detroit PP is firing on all cylinders since the start and the refs had an off day with a couple of the blown calls going the Red Wings wat.
Teams who plays them would be wise to keep out of the penalty box.

Better ingredients. Better pizza. Papa Johns. @EdJovanovski @Leonardo87 @Boris Zubov

Incredible response by the entire team after the complete clunker against Nashville. Their 5v5 play has been fantastic to start the year, and it should bode well if they can maintain it since they’re not going to continue being 19th and 16th in 5v5 shooting and save%

What's wild to me is how the shooting percentage was for the Rangers teams under AV with less top end talent.

AVs whole system was about creating fast breaks and finishing off the rush so they tended to get high quality chances and also yeah somehow shot ridiculously high in some years.
E: quick has always kinda played like that. Vally mentioned it last night too. It’s ugly but at least last night it was enough.

The 2014-15 team was an absolute machine, and it’s such a shame that injuries happened at the worst time for them. That team should cakewalked to a Cup.

The other AV teams simply wouldn’t shoot unless they had quality chances. They were ahead of the curve with the pre-shot puck movement, but they always seemed way worse because they were vastly outshot in aggregate.

This team just needs to keep sticking to what they’re doing. It’s a good process that’ll yield good results over the long run.
