Hoping this gives more validation to Lav to keep these lines together. Some of you were ready to blow it all up after last game.

The kids are now in as good of a position to succeed as you can realistically put them 5v5. There will be bumps in the road, but let's give it 15-20 games to properly assess before crying for the kid line again. Because if we do that, we are not going to win anything anyway.

rangers need consistency. they also can’t just be a team that feasts on bad teams but shits itself against quality competition.

great start to the road trip, but I’ll be extremely disappointed if we play calgary the way we played nashville.

Settling in to the new system will almost always make the first few games somewhat inconsistent. The signs of a strong team are there. And you see positive signs on offense you didn't see under Gallant:

1. Panarin being put in much better positions to shoot for his skillset
2. Kakko and Laffy contributing so much more as well for the same reasons.

The Rangers have played five games. Chytil's line has had two dominant/really good games. Buffalo and Seattle. 33 games dominant games over a full 82 game season. Zibanejad's line had a better game according to the numbers.

Quick made some good stops. He wasn't really tested. The Rangers haven't needed a goalie performance to win them games. Maybe the Arizona win. Not like in previous seasons where the team caved in.

This league is so hard to predict from night to night. I saw Seattle play a really good game last Carolina a few nights ago. They didn't look good last night.
