OT - NO POLITICS Spring has sprung

This came up in my FB memories - I was so pissed off! Clearly a Leafs fan who denied my licence plate - it makes me laugh now but I was livid at the time. There are many plates that are similar to this, it was obviously a disgruntled fan who worked there. I didn't bother to appeal it, I decided to keep the money instead.

I finally made an appointment to see the orthopedic doctor for my left hip. I've been getting treatment on the SI joint for 2+ years now and while it is better, it isn't where it needs to be. Both the chiro and PCP think getting my hip checked would be beneficial given all of the trauma my left side has had over the years. The hope is to see what may be going on and then try getting an injection there to see if the residual pain in the SI joint resolves.

I feel like the years as a hyperactive child are coming back to bite me in the ass and I'm in my early 40's.

As someone with hip issues let me say I literally feel your pain.

Good luck- hopefully this is something that can be fixed without surgery :crossfing

I am really having a lot of pain in my lower back. I think much of it is from the SI joints.

We keep the front door open when it’s nice out until it gets dark, and at about 730 2 little girls (I’m guessing between 11 and 13) rang the bell with their dog and asked if we had any kids their age.

First thought - omg I love this, I didn’t know kids still did this!

Second thought - omg there are so many creeps out there, please don’t ring the wrong bell!

I don't have any hip issues yet but my flat feet are killing me today. I bought new shoes a couple months ago and they were tight so I laced them up differently for wide feet, but now they're pronating and killing my instep. I need to get to a podiatrist and get new orthotics I think.
Definitely get some new orthotics. Are you getting shin pain too?

My mom reminded me that I had a nasty spill on the ice back in January 2019 and fell square on that hip. I was so focused on the massive bruise on my thigh that I ignored getting a full evaluation. I won't be shocked if any imaging shows an old injury.

When we were checking out the house last summer before we moved in, the kids across the street came knocking several times. There are I believe 5 of them, ages 9ish to 16ish, but every time they came around my kids were home with their mother. The kids met up ONE time the day the neighbors were flying to Arizona (they are also a blended family and the kids go to school in Arizona) and it was the greatest.

The chaos of my twins matched up perfectly with the chaos of the neighbors. I can’t wait until those kids are back in the neighborhood.

Kids are the f***ing sweetest. Animals. But the sweetest animals.

(Excluding people's birthdays) did any events happen on your birthdate? I have a friend from Trinidad & Tobago and their Independance Day is my date of birth. I'm 62 but I think I may share a birthday (not birthdate) with the now 29-year-old @Kate08 .

OJ was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife and Ron Goldman on my 13th birthday. Epcot opened 2 days before I was born.

Oh to be 29!

Princess Diana died on my 13th birthday. I was convinced I was going to marry Prince William, so that was a bummer.

Not on mine, but my grandmother was born the day the Titanic sank, and a cousin was born the day they walked on the moon.
